Thought for the future - however, my iPhone does not have a polarizer. I imagine the colors have to be amazing though! |

I'll make that adjustment, Peter. I agree, a crop would take away from the effect. The car doors were not frozen, it was just that the windshield had this frozen tundra look to it. i get ice and frost on it frequently in the winter but this was a masterpiece from Jack Frost himself. |

Oh, so now it's a "belt" - guessing that must be more than a drop:) What's next a drawerful of precipitation??? |

Glenn, you managed a very fine capture of these two men. The detail and color are spot on. I go back and forth on the pose. One time I liked it and the next I was not crazy about it. Guess the jury is out for me on that aspect. I did like the full body view as opposed to just a head shot of the two. There is much more of a story with this viewpoint. |

I guess 1/1250 sec. was not fast enough to capture the action. Perhaps some panning would have helped. My screen is showing a blur of everything except the bull. The dizzying feel of the background is hard to look at for any length of time. I trust you may have others. |

I'm with you - I keep my camera in check until those around me start clicking away. It's very hard to "catch" those using smart phones as they claim they are needed to hear the commentaries (right). I am in total agreement with your vision here - the silhouetted people, the glow of the tapestry, and the reflection in the mirror. I do like what Visitor Stephen did with his take on this piece.
I managed to snap away numerous pix of Notre Dame Cathedral when I was there and so glad I did not listen to the guards - others were doing likewise. |

I got all my shots so send along your plague, Peter! This is very cleverly handled. I hope you were able to share this card with the accordion player. I like your attention to detail in the smaller corner clubs as well as your layout of the center piece. Do you have a color version of this? I'd like to see that as well. Looking forward to the rest of the deck on this side of the pond. . . |

Hope your "away from home" is for pleasure and you are filling up your camera with images for the forseeable future. I do like the simplicity here. Your colorful foliage lends a nice framing to the headstones in the cemetery. My only gripe is that annoying chain link fence that blows me viewpoint from entering the area. I am getting too old to climb fences anymore. . .

Okay, I have looked all over this image and I cannot see that drop of rain! That being said, I do like the composition. Usually two dominant objects can be an issue but I feel the railing connecting them offsets that. I think the softness in the clouds does allow the structures in the foreground to be more prominent. I feel pulling out detail in them would only take away from the foreground architecture. A minor nitpick would be the closeness of the edge on the right to that light piece. |

Thanx Bev. This is one of the benefits of living in New England. I must admit there are many days with ice on my windshield but rarely with this pattern.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Bev, she is a most colorful character. I'm glad you included the original so we can see what you were up against. However, I think blackening it out might be too extreme. I tried to blur the area and then did a dodge and burn to darken it. I would not change a thing you did to the lady. I have attached my tweaks. . . |
