There was a catchlight but it was a semi-circular one. i took it out as it looked surreal. |

Sir? So polite - please can call me, "Joe."
Sir happily retired almost twenty years ago.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work. . . |

Oh, no, Dick - remove when you were at the site? It would be nearly impossible to take that out now. |

Glenn, you are slowly becoming our go-to photographer for western themes! I enjoyed looking over the entire image and was glad to see that your viewpoint was head-on. Glad they missed you and the camera! I could feel the action and moods of the horses in this shot. I wouldn't touch a thing! |

Thinking way out of the box here, Udayan. A simple veggie sliced and photographed. I'm not sure what your light source was but I did find the uneven sections of bright almost over-exposed areas competing with the darker better defined ones. Obviously you could try this again and try to compensate for the lighting difference.

Handled well, Sheldon! The highlights are not over-exposed and there is some detail in the shadowy areas. I see a sink on the far wall and some imperfections on the flooring. I wouldn't change a thing.
I, too, toured Alcatraz. We were fortunate enough to have one of the docents offer to take us behind the scenes on his lunch break at no extra charge. He just enjoyed sharing Alcatraz with others. |

The Almost Forbidden fruit, er shot! Glad you were thinking ahead and got the grab before she had time to think on it. With cell phone cameras there are a lot of "forbidden" images taken now.
I do like the three panels here. Your cropping suits the overall impression of the threesome. Nice tonal range throughout the scene. |

I, too, like your decision to go monochrome here, Dick. You have a definite foreground, a defined middle area and the mountain and clouds bringing up the rear. As mentioned, there is a line leading the viewer into the middle area. A very minor comment, would it have been possible to remove that twig on the lower left - I don't think it adds to the overall impact. |

Some good feedback so far, John! The two that standout for me would be the diagonal background and the white area surrounding the owls. Your call as to what you do with this feedback. You caught a moment and the expression on the left owl makes the image. |
