Sheldon, not that difficult - I increased the image size on my monitor and carefully used the clone tool to brush her back to a spot where the background was nearly identical. Then I landscaped the hedges to get them looking proper. The same technique was used on the stone block - just was very selective to find an area of similar texture. By the way, the entire transformation took about five minutes! There is still some shadow effect on those hedges where Sister Walker was.
Glad you liked it. . . |

Birds, mammals, flowers! You manage to provide us with excellent photography, Glenn. The texture is amazing here. Like the pose you gave us.
I did see a story on cable where many rhino farmers were cutting off the horns to prevent poachers from killing the animal for it. Not sure if this rhino was a lifelong resident of the zoo or came from one of these farms. |

Great balance in this image, Udayan - the boy leaning in the doorway; the red door; the placement of the window all work to provide us with this most interesting capture. The colors help to pop the image. Excellent cropping from the original - thanks for providing it.
I'm with Dick on opening up the shadows on the boy's face and while you're in there, try to get some definition in those legs. I think you can lighten them up so the viewer sees the two legs (a very minor tweak in a superb shot). |

Think you nailed this with your decision to go monochromatic. I do see Dick's "artifact" concern. I think it the residue from the block in the original. I thought about trying to move Sister further up into the scene as she is almost out of the frame - however my parochial school upbringing tells me not to mess around with nuns. I will probably hear from her about this rendition. . .
Also, I cleaned up the stone block somewhat with the clone tool |

Great detail in both main subjects, Peter. Pose adds to my interest. Like the haze/fog creeping in the back. We have an annual Steampunk festival coming up next week and I'm hoping to capture some of the characters who will be appearing. Watch this space for them. . . |

Look at you delving into the world of bird photography! Glenn had better keep an ryr on your future postings as you are challenging his domain :)
Color is amazing and the detail is spot-on. Background is perfectly captured - making it most pleasing to the colors on this hummer. Then you top it off with a great angle for the branch! |

Glad you waited for this angle as it stretches out the animal to its fullest length. Catching it facing you was another bonus.
Pose could be interpreted as "Bear Boudoir!" |
