Sheldon, the club had a set-up with Karo syrup on glass. Bubbles were all over the glass. Beneath this top surface was placed colorful paper - wrapping paper in some cases. The photographer could then choose which colorful backdrop to use. I managed to bump up the colors in this one as well as single out an area of most interest. I have attached the original one. Any further questions, feel free to send them along. . . |

Glenn, I had a few minutes so I ran this through tone mapping in NIK Plug-ins. Then I tried to correct the minor keystoning. Here is the final image |

Nice framing with the red furniture, Sheldon. They manage to keep the subjects within the areas of interest. New norm for today's culture - the old is reading the paper while the younger is texting.
Most interesting grab! |

Like the amount of detail in this altar shot. Nice symmetry as well. Perhaps a tad more contrast? Very minor keystoning. |

Great position to shoot into the balloon's interior. I did not see the guy until I read your description. The colors of this balloon are beautiful.
Now, if you want to shoot hot air balloons - you have to go to Albuquerque, NM for the granddaddy of all balloon festivals. some 700 will lift off in the morning with about 75 special shapes in the mix. I have been there twice and even went up in one of them during the festival!
I have attached "Airabelle" - one of my favorite special shapes. |

Peter, lots to like here - the monochromatic choice allowed us to enjoy the characters and the setting where the color, I am sure, would have been a distraction. The facial expressions show they mean business. I do like the background with the fog.
This is one foursome I prefer not to meet up with. |

Dick, have you submitted this before as it does look very familiar??? The interaction of the young girl with the silhouetted figure is priceless. The welling up of her eyes, the positioning of her hand, the very colorful top all work here. A minor tweak - to further silhouette the person on the left to include the lower lip - seeing it in color while the rest of her features are without color. |

John, this is a great image for the phrase, "keep it simple!" The simplicity is enhanced with the monochromatic decision you chose. It is further echoed with the taller building rising from the one below it and where you positioned it in the frame. Those clouds help the overall impact. |

Bev, I started to play with this image and will finish it off later and get it to you. I am not a big fan of the Topaz - I think in this image it over-saturates the building. The library has a lot of character that Topaz hides. My suggestions will be forthcoming. |
