Well done, Glenn. You had my attention by featuring a waterfall. And, I am a firm supporter of the cotton candy effect unless the falls are powerful ones like Niagara. I do not see any parts of the falls over-exposed. I liked the length of the scenic as well. It would have been easy to focus one one section. I also think the bit of sunlight in the foreground adds to its appeal. |

Ursula, I found the facial expression captivating! Detail in his hair is well done against the muted background. Mixed feelings about the out-of-focus foliage. A tighter crop on just his face would not tell the story as well. |

Peter, a great story here! It does not matter if they were a couple or not - you made them an item with your composition. His expression pretty much says it all - his horse did not finish in the money OR the wife has his winning ticket to cash in. The background is well handled - they are faceless characters in your story.
I agree with dick - this could have been a Norman Rockwell cover! |

Beautifully done, Dick! The colors are vibrant and the details sharp - what more could a photographer want? Even the supporting cast of green leaves are sharp without pulling my interest from the hibiscus.
I did think about cropping out the dark area below but that would have meant coming in too tight on the flower. |

John, the pseudo-HDR works well on these bottles. Your results are more realistic than most who "play" with HDR. The liquids within the bottles are quite vivid. Also, pretty tack sharp on the lettering!
Good decisions all around. |

No reason to jump, Peter. In its prime, the mill extended the escape to the ground but over time and some vandalism left the lower part broken and bent. They did not add to the overall impact or symmetry of the scene. |

There was a little more of the escape but it was bent and did not add to the overall impact here - so I left it out. |
