Yeah, Ursula. I shan't be offering a ride to those locales as the bridge out of the east coast is not finished and I still don't trust that tunnel :) |

Glenn, I like your thinking here - the monochromatic choice and the angle shot. I found myself gazing around the Zen Garden taking it all in. I see where the others commented about the overhanging branch on the right. It does take away from the serenity. Since a small hand saw was not allowed, perhaps a cropping would do. |

Ursula, a wonderful scenic here. I think you have a beautiful view here. I was looking at cropping out just above the fence line and enjoying the natural beauty.
P.S. if your chauffeur is not available, I could offer my services :) |

Kim, I think your post-processing lighting adds greatly to this image. It acts almost like a vignette for the spoonbill.
The sharp detail in the bird and the reflection are spot on. I would not crop out anything at this time as I think the environment adds greatly to the story. |

Peter, my first look at "Boy on Train" conjured up several photo-related comments. Then I looked at Dick's ticket question and started in an entirely different direction. I'll stay with my first impressions for now.
I think your placement of the boy in the frame with the signage next to him is perfect! His facial expression is typical of most young boys on a train with a window seat - awe! I did think the face looked soft and then read your post-processing treatment - I think it works here.
I'm guessing the "door locked" sign means one needs the conductor to allow entrance??? |

Dick, I like your composition here. The black water surrounding your plants adds to showcase them by providing a great shadow and enhancing the colors in those large leaves and the blue water lily. The colors within that lily are quite vivid.
I hadn't noticed the pink petal until Ursula mentioned it - then it became more of a nuisance. I'd say take it out. |

John, a good grab shot of the man handling the bird. I have been to a few of these with limited success. As you mentioned, it was fun so I'll end my review here. |
