Well done with the pun, Sir Richard! I think my favorite was the chain and hook. Thanks for the feedback. . . |

Yep, Dolores nailed it - the tree provided a great anchor to this scene! Its branches are reaching out to the yonder cliffs and the sky.
Glad you chose B&W |

Okay, I'm going to disagree with Dolores on this one. While I like the mood created by the haze, I do not like the in-your-face fencing. Because of its lighter tones, my eyes were drawn to it and not the fascinating mill.
Here is a version I shot several years back and converted to monochromatic. |

A Lake Louise look-a-like for me as well!
My first reaction was the over-sharpening but that's been addressed. I do like the lead in to the two meeting slopes of evergreens and the next level of mountains and clouds.
Certainly filled in all of the layers, Dick. |

Most interesting, John. I agree with Dolores on trying to capture these so the reflection was a great option. I thought the birds looked a little muddy so I ran them through NIK's Viveza to increase the reds. Then I brushed in and around only the birds. Got a little more pink out of them. |

Dolores,
I have folders for several groupings - all will be featured on my weekly blog. Next year it'll be "Industrial" followed by "Lighthouses" and then probably "Waterfalls." I have a little over fifty images in each group so just enough to finish out the year. Here is my blog (http://joekennedyphotography.blogspot.com/) which is currently highlighting my Top Shots from 2016. Stop by and play along with my trivia quiz. . . |

Dolores, am I converting you over to the "industrial side???" |

Bev, those judges were probably "hung over" and this brought back unpleasant memories :) |

Bev, I was leaning more to "Party Animal!" This would be the morning after. Liking the colors in the tiger against this background. Great detail where it matters as well. |
