Thanks, all! For me, it was the monochromatic ghost as I reflect upon the ghosts who visited Scrooge. They were more "ghostly" without color.
It was a fun shoot. |

Glenn, I see you responded to Dolores about your signature. I,too, felt it was too much of a distraction - taking away from a beautiful landscape. I have only seen amazing images from Ox Bend and yours is right in there with them.
Nice lead in with the waterway as it drew me into the body of the scene and led me around to the right and finally dropping me off at the mountains in the rear! I felt you had just enough of the essentials - greenery in the foreground and around to the right; the water to separate the shores and provide a beautiful reflection; and the mountains and supporting sky.
Maybe it's my monitor but the greenery looks a little oversaturated? |

Kim, this is a definite wall hanger! Great angle gave me a feeling of power, grace, and motion. You handled the background so well that my only focus is on the great bird.
On my monitor the bird looks sharp from beak to tail feathers and from wing tip to wing tip. An added bonus was the fish catch. |

Dolores, one word came quickly to mind when I saw this - serene. This had such a calming effect as I watch a blizzard kick in outside my window. I especially like the triangle you captured with the rocks - those in the foreground compliment the ones on the left and the right. You have just the right amount of sky to offset the rest of the seascape. Then you topped it off with a smooth still waters. |

Dick, I'd be more than pleased with this "best I could do" image of Vegas. The colors within the cityscape are amazing! The detail within those buildings in the foreground adds much impact. Then you top it off with a beautiful sunset and a set of steaming spotlights in the distance.
All comes together for me. |

John, the angle shown here was spot-on. It's too bad you didn't a few more mm on that wide angle but I think you captured the essence of the cathedral. I like the sky you have here and the detail within the structure.
I see what Dolores and Dick meant about the shadows. I felt they were in line with the shadow across the courtyard so I left it untouched. However, I did play with the main entrance - I added contrast and toned down the brightness to bring it closer to the rest of the cathedral. |

Dolores, Thank you for your feedback. I do have the ghost in color but he blended in too much with the surroundings. I opted for the B&W to offset me, er him. |

Dick, thanx. I did a few with me sitting on the stairs and another with me at the back of the hall. |

Bev, I would certainly enter this Lovely Lady in Lilac!
Her facial expression is captivating - helped out by the tilt of her head. The detail throughout is spot on - the pearls, the crown, the accessories on her dress. I did look into opening up the shadows in her eyes just a smidge.
Let me know how this works out. |
