9 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Linda, always appreciate your feedback. Feb 25th
9 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Randy for trying. I'm not as skilled with LRC, Photoshop, or Topaz tools as I'd like to be, but even so, bringing life back to this particular image as dark as it is, may not even be possible. Thanks again Randy. Feb 19th
9 Feb 26 Reply Yvonne, Thank you for your feedback. Editing expert? I only wish. I tried to keep the sunlight shining on the forest floor in the lower left corner, but after seeing your work, I agree it is a distraction and would be best to remove it altogether. When I revisit this photo, I'll include that step. Thank you again for taking time with this image. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Reply Douglas, my photo contains several leading lines formed by the surrounding woods that lead the eye to the sunstar, which I wanted to retain throughout post processing. However, I do like the work you did as well and I think straightening the tree may be the best approach. I'm going to revisit the original photo and experiment more with the work you did. Thank you Douglas, for taking time to show me a different approach. Your feedback is always appreciated. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Reply Sabine, thank you for your kind words. Your feedback is much appreciated. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Charles for your feedback. I tried your suggestion using the original photo in photoshop, but had no more success resolving the issues I described. As always, your feedback is much appreciated. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Sylvia. No expert here, but thank you for your suggestion. While darkening the trunks will help the image somewhat, it does little to solve my initial problems. Regardless, your feedback is always welcome and appreciated. Thanks again. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Comment Douglas, great abstract photo. Without reading your narrative, I would have never guessed what this is. The correction Sabine made with the lower arc as well as the black background, improve the image greatly. Nice job. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Comment Linda, your photo is so sharp throughout the image. Great lighting and good exposure. I like the buildings and street with their different colors, textures and shapes. The red umbrellas are a nice touch to the scene, and the two bikers with the children add additional interest to this image. Oddly, the car is a bit distracting from the more interesting things in this photo, but of course, would be very difficult to remove if at all. As some of your photos were taken with a cell phone, was this also taken with your cell phone? Well done. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Comment Yvonne, I like your photo. The late afternoon warm sunlight, casting shadows on the chair, flowerpot, drain pipe, along with the shapes of the two windows and door with their arches, all makes for an interesting photo. Your colored textures enrich the warm sunlight nicely. Very creative. Your post processing is a great improvement over the original. Great job. Sorry, no recommendations for additional sources for textures. Feb 12th
9 Feb 26 Comment Sylvia, my serious interest in photography began with the purchase of my first lens, a 2.8 100mm macro lens. I spent many hours learning how to take decent flower shots at a local Botanical Gardens. Tulips were my favorite flower, so I have an appreciation of the work done on this image. Everything from front to back is very sharp, clearly showing the internal parts of the flower. The color is great and the Use of the black backdrop was a good choice. You captured a certain elegance with this pose, even in its faded condition. I do think the lighting is a little intense for me. Use of artificial lighting has always been a challenge for me, which I seldom ever use. I wonder if a small light placed between the backdrop and focused on the flower would brighten the inside of the flower a little more? Nice job Sylvia. Feb 10th
9 Feb 26 Comment Randy, I like your B&W. Its leading lines formed by the building, sidewalk and cement whatever, take my eye through the fog to the foggiest point in the distance. The reflections on the side of the building make this image even more interesting. I think the composition and exposure is spot on. I don't know the kind of tree shown on the right side of your image, but its leaves form a nice fluffy texture which appeals to your image. I tried to intensify the fog in Lightroom Classic and any changes I made did not intensify the fog as intended. Very nice image. Feb 10th
9 Feb 26 Comment Sabine, this is a beautiful blossom. The darker colors starting from the center lead my eye to the lighter colors on the perimeter. The center of the blossom to the outer edges contain multiple circular shapes with various blue and purple warm hues that are inviting and make the image even more interesting. Your technical set-up was successful and produced a beautiful photo. Great job!

21 Feb 26 Reply Tom, thank you for your kind words. Feb 10th
21 Feb 26 Comment The bird and the rock it sits on, is very sharp and well exposed. I like the non-distracting background with great color. The front of the bird is nicely positioned against the green background and the eye gives this bird an interesting superior facial expression. And the birds "catch of the day" really makes this photo. Great job! Feb 10th
21 Feb 26 Comment Thank you Veysi. Feb 4th
21 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Tom and thanks for the tip. You taught me something I didn't know about bird photography. Feb 4th
21 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Mike. Feb 4th
21 Feb 26 Reply Thank you Ted. Feb 4th
21 Feb 26 Comment Mike, I had to research this bird as I've never seen one before and learned I wont see one here in North America. It was interesting to see the similarity between your great tit and the Chick-a-dee I see frequently around here. Unusual and interesting feet as well along with the leg band. This is a beautiful capture of this bird perched to see all it's markings and color with a tack sharp eye. Very nice. Feb 4th
21 Feb 26 Comment Michael, an absolutely beautiful shot. Perfect in every way. Great shot. Feb 3rd
21 Feb 26 Comment Ted, beautiful capture of this fish eagle. Bird profile nicely on a nice branch makes for a great foreground. Background out of focus just enough to be distracting. I played with your image a little and darkened the white center of the fern which was a little distracting to me, and also brightened and sharpened the eye a little. What do you think? Great shot. Feb 2nd
21 Feb 26 Comment Great action shot. In focus and sharp across the image. Soft background with complementary color adds to the image. Very nice photo. Feb 2nd
21 Feb 26 Comment What a beautiful bird Tom. The body is sharp displaying gorgeous colors throughout the plumage. The markings are so unique and interesting to see. How fortunate to be so close to the Miami Zoo Wings of Asia aviary. The bird is shown in its natural habitat which is interesting and adds to the story. It also makes the background a little distracting to me, but I don't think there is much you can do in post-processing without affecting the qualities of the image. Very nice nature shot. Feb 2nd

42 Feb 26 Comment Tom, I understand what the folks here are saying, but I also understand the alluring history this image projects. I like this image for the untold stories we can imagine and wouldn't change a thing. A 1960s era truck outliveing its usefulness and surrendering itself to nature. The unrelenting vine growth viciously consuming the truck. Nature overcoming human nature. From that perspective Tom, I think you were successful. Very interesting image. Feb 6th
42 Feb 26 Comment The architecture colors with warm lighting really make this image pop. Arches from bottom to top that leads me to the blue window top center. All details are sharp and very interesting. This is a beautiful image. BTW Charles, I was surprised to see your article in the January issue of PSA magazine, which was very informative, interesting and enjoyable to read. Nice job. Feb 4th
