9 Apr 25 Comment Thanks for your feedback Tom, much appreciated. I was unable to compose the image on-site as I wanted without the bridge, and never thought to crop the image in post-processing to eliminate the bridge as you did, which certainly does improve the image. As I review this crop, it seems to me that it does lack space at the top of the image, leaving an unbalanced scene when compared to the bottom of the image. Using AI, I have unsuccessfully tried to add space to the top of the image to create more balance, but will continue trying. Thanks again Tom. Apr 21st
9 Apr 25 Reply Thanks Sylvia for taking the time to play with this. I never thought to rid the image of the bridge, but your crop does look pretty good. It might be a little tight at the top, so I intend to play with your idea using photoshop's generative fill and create a little more image at the top after removal of the bridge. Thanks again Sylvia. 9 Apr 25 Comment Thank you Linda. Apr 15th
9 Apr 25 Reply Thanks Randy. For now, I have to live with the bridge in either photo until I find another solution. Apr 15th
9 Apr 25 Reply Thank you Douglas. Apr 12th
9 Apr 25 Reply Thank you Yvonne. I applied both your suggestion as well as Sabine's suggestion, and I think your idea's work well. I am torn though, between the image with three water falls vs. two. Like most of my reworks, it takes multiple reviews over time before I decide which I like better, or maybe both. Thanks again Yvonne. Apr 12th
9 Apr 25 Reply Thank you Sabine. The bridge was problematic for me while composing the image and in post processing, but I will try your suggestion and repost along with Yvonne's suggestion. Apr 12th
9 Apr 25 Comment Sabine, the post processing process you utilized certainly looked challenging and interesting. I had to research the BLACK & WHITE projects program to understand how that software was applied to your photo.
The detail is clearly seen with the dried grasses on the mountain sides, to the Power lines at the top of the mountain to the gulley at the bottom of the image. The Snowdrift in the gulley along with the roadway and avalanche guards are clearly visible. I like how well the sky is detailed. In terms of meeting your goal to reduce black & White in your image, I think you succeeded.

9 Apr 25 Comment Yvonne, this is amazing artwork. The gentleman looks proud to show the work done on his body and the stories he could tell behind the work would be interesting to hear. I like the blurred background, but I think I do prefer the colored original, with a blurred background and maybe cropped to to include the work on his hands and also to see the shape and vibrant colors of the entire hat, which to me is part of the story. Very nice work. Apr 8th
9 Apr 25 Comment Douglas, it's nice to see an image like this so full of wildlife. The color of the water, seals, earth, turns and gulls with their orange beaks, are all processed well. I cropped the photo to focus my attention on the one area I keep gravitating to while viewing your original image, that is the dark-skinned seal. This helps me to still see the abundant variety of wildlife as well as the water and rock in the sea, but on a smaller scale. What do you think? Photo capabilities of today's iPhone continue to impress. Well done. Apr 8th
9 Apr 25 Comment Sylvia, this is a very interesting photo. I am intrigued with what seems to be sand dunes or hills in the background with the tall poles planted in the sand in front of this scene. I like the calm pastel blue and beige colors seen throughout the area of the poles along with some kind of ornaments attached to the poles which all adds to the mystic. The man carrying the bucket brings all the elements of this image together and completes a very interesting story for me. I do favor a crop that reduces the foreground a bit since I am more focused and interested in the areas of the poles and the man with his bucket, maybe a 16x9 crop? Very nicely done. Apr 8th
9 Apr 25 Comment Linda, it's been a long winter (for me anyway) so it's nice to see blossoms that give me something to look forward to soon. I like the pink and green color against a muted background. Everything in the focal plane is in focus and sharp and it's great to see detail inside the blossom.
What is most interesting to me is the group of open/closed blossoms on the right-hand side of your photo that depicts texture and detail of the outside and inside of the blossoms. Reminds me how strong the blossoms need to be to survive the elements and yet are so delicate. The water droplets are a nice touch and add to the story. I do think the vignette could be a little less dark. Very nice.

Randy, I like the Color on each bottle and the black background. Your set up with two flashes I think resulted in a very nice image. The soft light reflection off the shoulder of each bottle is also a nice touch. I did notice that it appears that each bottle on either side of Johnnie Walker Blue Label was positioned further back from the center bottle which might explain why the fine print on the center bottle is clearly legible, but the fine print on the lower labels on the other two bottles is a bit out of focus. Other than that, I have no suggestions for improvement on a very nice photo. I think you succeeded with your project.

21 Apr 25 Reply Thank you Leslie. I took several shots at this position, and chose this particular image for the eye characteristics you mentioned. Apr 8th
21 Apr 25 Comment Ron, I like your photo. It displays a kind of emotional intimacy between mankind and nature. Nicely done. Apr 7th
21 Apr 25 Comment Leslie, a very interesting photo. The colors are great, especially the orange of the beak and liner of the eye, very distinctive. The foreground and both birds are in focus and sharp with just enough blur in the background. I like the position of each bird facing opposite directions, presumably focused on their search for their next meal. I enjoy seeing photos from members in this group of birds I've never seen before. Very nice photo. Apr 5th
21 Apr 25 Comment Mike, I had to laugh seeing the expression of this goose. I never knew a gooses tongue looked like this. I like the position of both birds facing each other and the image is in focus and sharp. Apr 5th
21 Apr 25 Comment Don, very good job with the composite. Nice capture with the young duckling and its mother. I am curious though if the difference in color between the body and neck in your composite is what you would see in either bird? Apr 5th
21 Apr 25 Comment Tom, great photo. The action captured between the parent and siblings is done very well. The open mouths of the chick vs. the closed mouth of the other chick leaves me with a good perspective of what the profile of the chick looks like. The adult birds open mouth with its catch of the day makes this a complete story. The three birds together in action are fantastic. The color and sharp detail of all three birds are great. Very nice shot! Apr 5th

42 Apr 25 Reply Charles, this is a very warm and inviting scene. The sky color is perfect, reflected on the water and framed within the silhouette of both palm trees brings this image together nicely. Apr 15th
