9 Nov 24 Reply Thank you Linda. Your suggestion as well as Douglas's comment, has encouraged me to give The Xmas card idea a try. Nov 19th
9 Nov 24 Reply Not a bad idea. Thanks Douglas Nov 18th
9 Nov 24 Reply Randy, my comment is a matter of personal taste more than a critique. It really is a very nice photo. Nov 18th

9 Nov 24 Comment Linda, this is a great capture of interesting shapes and perfect color. I like the composition of water and ice against the landscape and sky, and the hint of what appears to be a glacier in the upper right corner, as well as the tourist boat in the foreground, adds interest. Very nicely done. Nov 17th
9 Nov 24 Comment Dough, great candid capture of a cute child with a very determined gaze. I like the kaleidoscope colors in the upper right corner, adding great color and interest to your photo for me. I'm a fan of AI in photoshop for photo restoration, which would work great here for the missing part of her ear. Nice shot Nov 17th
9 Nov 24 Comment Randy, I like your well composed B&W landscape that reminds me of a time when open spaces and wilderness was more the norm. I also like the glimpse of the distant mountains shown in the upper left corner of your photo. It adds a little more interest. I find that my eye wonders a bit throughout the photo, possibly adjusting contrast would create a little more separation from the foreground, middleground and background? Nov 17th
9 Nov 24 Reply Great detailed diagram of your set-up, which I didn't expect, and much more involved than I imagined. Thank you for your efforts Sabine. Nov 13th
9 Nov 24 Reply Thank you Yvonne Nov 13th
9 Nov 24 Comment Sylvia, the blurred background gives the scene a pleasant ethereal feeling that I like. The mushroom and twigs in the focus plane are sharp creating separation from the foreground and background. Colors are great. Together the image creates a very interesting story.
I cropping your image into a 4x6 format that I think brings more focus to the main subject which is the mushroom. What do you think?

9 Nov 24 Reply Sabine, I couldn't tell the difference between your version and mine until I downloaded your image and viewed it as a side-by-side comparison to mine. The subtle changes you made were a great idea and did make a noticeable improvement to the cardinal. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Nov 13th
9 Nov 24 Comment Very nice portrait photo. All colors are warm and comforting, the model's expression and pose appear comfortable and natural. Face and hair are focused and sharp. The background is perfect. Very impressive post processing. Portrait photography is one of my many weaknesses, so I appreciate the details you provided for your set up. I'm impressed with your results using a single light source. Can you tell me more about your flashlight used (Tungsten bulb, LED, distance from the subject)? Did you use a tripod? Great photo! 9 Nov 24 Comment At first glance, the image appeared to me as a three-dimensional drawing. The confluence of different shapes and lines with varying contrast between black and white is more appealing to me than the original color image and makes this a fun image to view. I appreciate the useful detailed post-processing techniques you described as well. Great job! Nov 8th
