9 May 24 Reply Yes, I agree, a wider crop to the left side would help the image a great deal. However, I didn't want the street scene to be part of this image, so I chose a tighter crop. Maybe I'll try Generative AI in photoshop and see if that will produce an satisfactory solution. Thanks Linda, your feedback is always appreciated. May 27th
9 May 24 Comment Linda, unless an image jumps out at me, it sometimes takes me a while to digest what I see and like about an image. It is much easier for me to assess landscapes, wildlife, and macro images, where my interest and experience is, than it is for Street photography, which takes a bit more time for me to understand. However, when I review all the comments from other team members on this photo, they are so wonderfully descriptive and spot on that I can really appreciate what I see in this photo which is a very interesting and fun image to see. I really have begun to appreciate street photography more and more after seeing your work, as well as others on this team. May 27th

9 May 24 Reply Thanks Sabine. I have taken some time to revisit both yours's and Sylvia's rework of my image to consider how I felt about the changes made. I like your cropping and I do think darkening of the image does improve the image. Your changes also brought out more detail in the house and bridge, and I'm still undecided which I prefer. As always, I appreciate your feedback and truly welcome seeing someone else's rework of my images from their perspective. It is an opportunity for me to learn and hopefully improve my photography and post-processing skills. May 23rd
9 May 24 Reply Thanks Sylvia. I like your work to my image and while you did emphasize the mist, I think some detail in the house and bridge suffered a bit. I think its a case of choosing one-or-the-other, and boils down to personal taste. Thanks for your efforts Sylvia, it is always appreciated. May 23rd
9 May 24 Reply Thanks Doug. I simply forgot to attach a copy of the original and provide the post processing steps I took. Cropped to a 2x3 wanting to rid the street scene and overexposure in the upper left corner. I also used masks in different areas to adjust color, highlights and darks. I did struggle to enhance the mist/fog without affecting other areas, in particular the whites in the house and bridge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. May 15th
9 May 24 Comment Interesting photo. Its great when you have strangers so willing to spontaneously pose for another stranger. What's interesting to me is the story being told with the three men and their surroundings; rustic table with the chess board, chairs, bike, doors along with the varying textures and colors throughout the image. Together, it tells me a compelling story which is supported by your backstory. I agree with Cindy's comment and I wonder if darkening the background (masking?) just a tad bit, might also bring more focus to the three men and their game. Very nice image. Thank you for sharing Douglas. May 14th

9 May 24 Comment At first glance, this was a sea of confusing puzzle pieces of different colors and shapes, but then it all quickly came into focus. After reading your back story, I have a greater appreciation of this photo. Your post processing to recompose and rework color and exposure looks great to me. It is a very interesting photo and nicely done Yvonne. I am always impressed with your creative style and I'm really getting to appreciate street photography more and more when seeing your work. 9 May 24 Comment Just a beautiful image of this Iris which is also one of my favorite flowers. So graceful. The center and most of the remainder are sharp. I'm curious; did you use a black backdrop, or did you expose for the background? Great Job! May 14th
9 May 24 Comment Spectacular Image Cindy! It's amazing to me that you captured the night sky with stars, the aurora and landscape sharply in focus and exposed so well, all in evening light. The road as the leading line is perfect. Great job! May 14th
9 May 24 Comment Sabine, really like this composition with vegetation positioned on the left side, the stem and snail in the center of the frame along with a really nice bokeh. The shape and color of the shell is a great focal point. The photo tells an interesting nature story. When I find snails, its usually just an empty shell after the birds or racoons are done with them. I know the darker ambient lighting likely is due to the snails position hidden within the vegetation which can add to the story, but to my eye, the image might be just a little underexposed. Otherwise, a really nice image. May 8th
