Thank you Yvonne. The sky is a bit challenging right now because the blue color is not even from left to right, and darkening the sky before fixing that issue doesn't look right to me. I'm relatively new to Lightroom Classic and am still learning how to use its tools, but I agree with your suggestion which I think could improve the image. The same handicap I have using Lightroom also resulted in off colors. This is not an HDR, just one single shot that I chose from several taken, and I struggled in post processing to adjust the yellow colors to project the same affects of the warm late afternoon sunlight I felt and saw at that time. I'm still learning! |

Never gave that composition a thought, but now I think I'll play around with a version of your idea. Thanks Douglas. |

The contrasting colors in the sky are great along with the soft details on the shoreline, but the reflection of the fireworks in the water is what really gets my attention. |

The great color and shape of the bottles make for a great composition. The variations of the grey background does compete with the color foreground, so I agree with Sabines recommended background change. Sharpness, detail, and exposure all look great to me. Nice image Sabine. |

Great color and shapes that makes an interesting story, I'm sure. Maybe adding a little more space on top of, and to the left of, the building would be my only other comment. |

This one makes me laugh! I'm impressed with the quality of the image taken with a cell phone. I would straighten the image a bit though. |

Very Interesting photo. The two brick building bookends keep me focused on the center image which has a lot of interesting shapes and color. I'm not sure if all final submittal along with the 3 examples are taken at different times, but I like your final submittal the best with one adjustment to brighten the image overall. |

Thanks Sabine, I would not have thought to darken the sky, but do see the improvement. Thanks. |

Very nice, with The mill, the river and boats along the shore. Sharp top to bottom and side to side. Collectively makes for a very interesting Landscape and story. The river is also a strong leading line to the Mill. Aside from the horizon position mentioned above, the scenery near the right side of the image lacks interest and takes my focus away from the areas of interest on the left side of the image. Maybe cropping the image from the right edge to about 1/3 of the distance, just to the right edge of the larger trees on the right of the river would be less distracting. I know its a matter of taste, but I might also add a little more contrast to the sky. |

Thanks Tom for your comments. I get a little trigger happy when cropping, bad habit, I know. I'm learning from your, and others, comments to consider where, and how much, space to consider when cropping. Your change is a better composition. Thanks. |

Beautiful color and capture of the birds posture. The eye and beak are tac sharp. However, while the eye and beak are perfect, I might have used just a little less sharpening on the rest of the bird. The bokeh is great and provides great separation of the bird and background. Very pleasing image. |

Kathleen, The arching grass over each bird aligns nicely with the curvature of each swans neck. While the grass in front of each bird is distracting, removal would likely impact the image quality of each bird. Too me, the photo is an intimate capture in the wild and overall tells a nice story. Nicely done. |

I like everything about this photo. Its sharp, the color contrast between the birds color and water, positioning of the birds neck and freezing the water and bird movement is great. I might have cropped with a little more space to the right side of the photo, centering the bird in the photo. Otherwise, a very nice image. |

Julia, I really enjoy your photo. The foreground (plant) and blackbird are nicely focused along with a great bokeh. Capturing the feather detail and pose of the birds backside in addition to the color contrast between the bird and greenery makes this photo pop. Nice job. |

Beautiful capture Hans. Very sharp detail and the color contrast between the color of the birds and sky are captivating. Would a smaller aperture setting bring the second bird more in focus? Otherwise, a great shot. |

Thanks Julia. I have a tendency to use a 1x1 format for my images without much thought, but after considering yours, and the previous comments regarding the crop I used, I'll be more aware of my future formats. |

Silvia, really enjoy your photo and am a bit envious because I never see an owl when taking photo's of birds, or landscapes for that matter. As with other comments, cropping a little be more of the image would reduce, what I think are, the distractions of the other leaves and branches. |
