So I have enjoyed every ones suggestions and crops! But here is the dilemma, if I had to choose the 'best' one, how to choose? |

Randy,
When this photo first came up, it lightened my heart, so there is that. It has been a long humid summer so this scene looks amazing.
And I do see what you are wanting to show. I too like the bench in the photo.
I tried a different crop in LR and used the remove to take out the tree on the right. I also bumped up the white a bit more.
I hope you feel like getting your camera out again soon! I try to set up indoors when the weather is not cooperating. |

Very nice! I love your edits - the softening of the background made a good photo great! I love that the branch is diagonal.
great job!

Randy,
thank you for your suggestions. I did quite a few shots that were more horizontal, but I didn't have backdrops that I loved. I was shooting in my backyard, tried a white background and old window sash. |

thank you Yvonne.
The hula outfit was made to 'dress up' a liquor bottle. It came with a Hawaiian shirt for its partner's bottle.
thank you for your suggestions!!! |

I do like it without the skirt too.
I think I'd enjoy being a product photographer so I take it looking like an ad as a compliment :) |

Yes, it is supposed to be a Margarita. But I didn't want to waste my tequila so it is actually beer :) |

I love the photo and your description!
I love how the doors are wide open yet it still seems as if there is a wall and we are peering through it.
It is interesting to me that most people are indeed looking and talking to each other. But there is that one guy on the phone - I am sure he is messaging directions to a late arrival. |

It is a very relaxing photo! I would love to just sit there a bit. It has all the right feels. I like the reflection in water.
I was going to ask for the original as well, then saw that you posted it in response to Randy.
I much like your edits better. You can laugh at this but the original just looks buggy to me - like I'd get bit up sitting there. But the edited one looks super inviting - I could spend the afternoon there. |

Great image! You make me want to visit Chicago with my camera!
I like that you have the house centered, that there are boats below on the water, and the sky is perfect. I too would like to know the story on the house - and how you get to it and where you would park.
I think I'd try lightening the photo just a bit more. I still have an old program called Picasa and this is what I got when I clicked 'I'm feeling lucky' |

Very interesting! So many ships,
Tall ships, short ships, blue ships, yellow ships - something for everyone! I like that it gives us the full view of the harbor and a sense of the scale.
However, for me, it is hard to know where to focus, I tried a tighter crop. |

Thanks. You have given me a great idea - to find a spot and be able to mark where my camera goes and have my grandsons pose a little different each year
