I love what you did here. Great silhouette of the camera. Really great story telling!

My process is very hit or miss. I am not skilled in PS and only stumble through doing a few things.
I added a gradient fill that had rainbow colors coming in from the upper left corner. then I added a smoke-fog over top, taking the opacity down to 66% and using a mask to brush out even more of the fog.

Beautiful photo! I think you made the right call going to black and white - it makes it a more interesting photo.
When I lived in Pennsylvania my co-worker's husband was an engineer who inspected bridges. The only think I can remember about his job is that they always made sure they were parked on the side that didn't require them to cross over the bridge to head home as so many of them were in need of repair.... |

I agree with Sabine that this photo could be entered in contest - it is perfectly edited and a gorgeous shot! I always prefer images that go from left to right - so I think you were smart to flip the image.
Having said that, I've been seeing liminal images a lot lately, and your original is also a masterpiece with a whole different vibe. |

Beautifully captured with great details in the main tulip. I'd love to see your original. I had not noticed the highlights in the background until I read Jim's comments and I agree that his version nicely removes the distraction. |

Having just come from Japan during Cherry Blossom season, I'd say that you were very successful.
I tried playing with your photo myself in photoshop.

This looks like a very interesting place Sabine! I agree that your photo certainly shows off the grandeur. I am curious, is the gold in the photo what you saw, or is the detail in the ceiling more like what is in the original photo? |

This is my favorite eagle composite of yours by far. I wonder if the flying bird overlapped the large birds white feather just a bit more if you could better see its lover wing. But that is being picky - over all very well done!

You always have the most creative ideas! This is very interesting. Very smart to do a composite instead of trying to get the shot all in one. |

Thanks! I just scrolled my photo up to see what it would look like cropped - it does bring the woman out more. I am not sure I like it better, just a different vibe. Thanks for the suggestion!
