This is a very interesting shot. So good! The layer of clouds just above the oasis of trees and the house layer, then the dark soil, then the grass.
If I saw this hanging it a gallery I would have to stop and take a few minutes to consider it. Which is what you want from a photo.
I am still very much a beginner photographer, however, I downloaded it for fun to try different crops and I found this to be a very versatile photo. I found your original crop by far to be the best.
I used old software and tried the 'I feel lucky button' and got the attached photo. Not better but a very different vibe. |

Wow! This is impressive.
First of all, I always take a shot of moss and/or lichen when I see it. Now I will have to experiment more in lightroom and photoshop.
The mirror image - down the center I see faces - almost looks like like an ancient carving or a totem pole. Or the spine of a magical creature down into its pelvis.
This is VERY WELL DONE!
This should be printed, framed and hung on your wall. |

What a slice of life! I didn't actually notice the photographer on the ground until I read your write up. I think that he is more noticeable in the color shot.
For me, the color shot seems more like a candid snapshot, while the black and white is more a work of art. Also, I think the little bit of cropping you did helps focus the scene.
But both are very well done.

I love the bright red of the flower against the white of the ballerina.
I was not aware that could change settings like that with your iPhone - are you using an app or does the 15 come like that? |

This is a gorgeous shot! I love that he has food in his mouth, but more so, I love that composition. He is perfectly place on the branch. |
