52 Nov 24 Comment I like the original image as much as the cropped one. I am wondering if it was taken in breeding season. I like the color of the bird in the original, since out of breeding season these birds are not as colorful. The angle of the bird does not bother me since I have seen them come in that way often. and have taken similar images, (not as good though) Nice detail in the feathers. Both the orginal and the processed image tell the story.
Happy Thanksgiving

52 Nov 24 Comment A great story told in this image, However I won't reapeat the suggestions from the others. I will say that the re-edited image Mike did, has the qualities I suspect you were aiming for.
Nevertheless you got a sharp image. well done.

Happy Thanksgiving.

52 Nov 24 Comment Like some of the others I can only see the thumbail view. It is a nice portrait of the otter, you caught the eyes open. I do agree with Pamela's comment regaring the water looking a bit crooked. Well done.

52 Nov 24 Comment Fall colors that gives the feeling that winter fast approaches. I really like this scene, I agree with Pamela about cropping more of the sky. I am thinking it is the topography that might have given the illusion of the horizon being off. I often get that comment on images I have taken in hilly country. Although some of the trees are leaning, it does not detract for me, since I always thnk about the prevailing winds. Overall I think this is a good image.

Happy Thanksgiving.

52 Nov 24 Comment This image has all the sights and colors of autumn, and puts the viewer right there. The deer is poised just right and he does not appear startled and ready to flee, the angle gives that three dimenional effect. There is a calm, serene feeling to the entire scene. I do agree with Mike's suggestion about the broken log, but it was the brightness on the left actually drew my eye before the main subject. Great shot.

Happy Thanksgiving. Iechyd da.

52 Nov 24 Comment I really like the detail and color in the feathers, At first the different feather was a bit of a distracton, however since I could also see a similar pattern (much smaller)on the right, then I saw more continuity in te image. It is the texture and patterns that really makes this image pop.
Happy Thanksgiving, (although suspect the turkey may not think so. )
