52 Aug 24 Reply It is so beautiful, and worthy of hanging in a spot where it can be admired.

52 Aug 24 Comment Good capture (photographer and bird) I like the story in this image. Nice detail in the subject and the water movement. However like Judith, I would crop a little less, I see in the orginal you have a reflection. Where possible it always seems to add more the the story if the viewer sees all or at least most of it. A little more water in front of the bird too, so it has something to move into. But the PP is well done to giving more dimension to the imagee. Nice work.

52 Aug 24 Comment I think this image is absolutely stunning, the rim light on the lion give perfect dimension to the subject. I don't think a silhouette would have as much impact as this final picture. The lighting hits the subject perfectly. the golden light gives a sense of mystery to the setting. To my eye, your PP has taken a very good original shot into an outstanding one. Nothing to change.

52 Aug 24 Comment Oh! This is such a striking image, I love it, the texture and lighting works perfectly. I really like the sepia tone it adds so much dimension.
You mention you have much to learn about photographing dragonflies, I think you have done well here. I will pass on what I have been told, (but confess don't or can't always comply since this is nature.) try to use a faster speed, and try to angle the insect so that you can see more of its head. As I said, in the natural world we often have to take what we can find. Nevertheless I think you have a wall hanging image, one that brings a sense of serenity to the viewer.

52 Aug 24 Comment This is such a peaceful scene. Your image is sharp and the eye so clear, grabbed my attention. But it is the movment of the water and the reflection that for me, completes the story. Like Judith I ask did you shoot this at sunrise or sunset? Certainly a fine image.

52 Aug 24 Comment I like this shot, I has a very modern look to it. with nothing to detract from the subject. There is much texture in the cat-tails, which breaks up what could be monotony, there is also a sense of movement in the scene. I think the only thing that I find a little bothering is the straight line that seems to cut off where the cattails are growing, some how at least to me, its seems a little artificial. but nevertheless it is still a striking shot,

52 Aug 24 Comment The creamy bokeh and background sets this image perfectly. The two forward blossoms sets a gentle curve that leads the eye to the subject, I like the pop of color of the blossoms. I think the only think I might do is denoise the image, the background at least looks to my eye, a little noisy. But it is a beautiful image.

52 Aug 24 Reply Thank you so very much Judy, working with two excellent instructors I am understanding the concepts of light and shadows much better. Your very kind comment encourages me to work even harder to master what they have both been teaching in our times together.
