It appears our group is composed of numerous bridge fans! I include myself in that. I spend a lot of time in (on?) Manhattan and could stare at the Brooklyn Bridge for hours. Your bridge has hit the "sweet spot" of majesty and grace - it's a magnificent span and yet evokes a strength that pervades the image.
The decision to go monochrome is perfect! |

Really like your photo - and flipping it made a huge difference! The color of the water is gorgeous and shows how well your post processing skills are becoming!
Have to say, I almost miss the lamppost! |

HI Sylvia,
I also made an attempt at a new crop and frankly did not make any improvements! There's a lot in your photo - and in your description - and I wanted to see/know more about the shrine!
Like the others said, looks like an amazing trip!

Wow - the post-processing completely "makes" this photo - classic example of "less is more!" You really did a great job of removing the distractions and letting the 3 subjects speak for themselves. I keep looking at the footprint or shoe in the very center of image - that's the thing, to me, that's telling a story! |

Hi Yvonne!
You've demonstrated the joy of post-processing! Taking a very fine original image and then creating art with your personal choice of colors and feathering. Very nice! |

Stunning job in Photoshop! As Linda said, the vibrancy of the photo is gorgeous and the ceiling detail takes on new life.
Well done - and it's another place I want to experience! |

The transition from original to final is pure artistry! What a lesson in the majesty of post-production! Final is remarkable and the addition of the sky adds a whole new dimension to the photo and story!
Thank you! |

I like all of the comments about the interaction between the two of them -- especially having full face contrasted with side-view. I didn't notice a lot of difference between the original and final and not sure about the texture of the lions' coats.
Appears to be an amazing trip! |

I think this is a great example of the artistry of monochrome photography: in color, it's obvious that the snake is a toy (even "garish") but in monochrome it's ambiguous. Maybe I'm the only one who thought the snake was real when I looked at the photo!
Not sure about the cropping -- I like Barbara's comments and perhaps darkening the shadow post would help with balance.
Very fun photo! |

I was drawn to the movement and high level of energy -- from the clouds to the brush to dunes -- lots of activity and turmoil.
Great shot and truly awesome locale! |

Hi Robert,
Huge photo! So much to take in and visually explore! The composition is quite nice and the clouds agreed to create a gorgeous wisp that directs the viewer!
Very nice! |

Thank you all for your comments.
I only use Lightroom Classic for post processing and used the blurring tool for the background and also conversion to monochrome.
I learned that trying to be "cute" with a little sliver of the photographer wasn't a great decision. I wish I had included all of him - but might redo this and completely remove.
Again, thank you! |
