Hi Linda,
I love your cropping! As I look at it I realize that the answer to my ear-clipping (and it wasn't a crop issue but how the photo was taken) was to eliminate all of it! I often feel as though I crop too harshly but your approach is exactly what was needed! Thank you! |

One of the things I value about this group is when folks try their hand at modifying and manipulating images. Both Sylvia and Jim's alternatives are a creative take on the original. My only input was that the mushroom seemed a little lost with all of the background and I liked cropping the photo to give more space to the main event! |

Yvonne - I applaud your attraction to staircases and the helix. It is one of those shapes that appears in nature and has a lot of significance. I'm drawn to Da Vinci and his use of them as well.
The black and white motif is terrific and the absence of color completely adds to the photo.

There's a level of intimacy in this portrait that is captivating. The photo draws me in and I was to hear what he's thinking or what his perception is of the situation. Gorgeous eyes and expression.
I think the lighting is especially good and the fact that his face is in such sharp focus in contrast to the rest of him.
