I really like this photo - and the blurred film canister made me think that it was in the past - a hazy memory of a bygone era. The camera body is in such crisp sharp focus and is a treat to look at. |

I went with the original photo but cropped it even tighter - and yes, the yellow streak does make an arrow at the corner so it could be overly contrived!
The streak really catches my eye and at first glance I thought it was a close up of an oil painting!

I was thinking the same thing as Yvonne - although my take was less "conversing" and a lot more "gossiping" - particularly the way they seem to be leaning in close to hear.
Dust is a distraction and I think the angles and various positions of the mushrooms add lots of intrigue.
Have fun with it! |

I'm going to play a bit more with original. I recall cropping so tightly because there was a lot of distraction in the background. More than possible that I was too heavy-handed! |

Bess is quite lively and I was lucky to catch her in a moment of concentration. |

Love that you were pushing the limits on access and subject. I would have enjoyed hearing the nun.
If I didn't see the cars in the lot I would have guessed the photo was at least 50 years older given her dress and the condition of the building. Plus, the black and white filter and other adjustments add to the timelessness. |
