9 May 24 Reply Thank you! That's exactly what I was hoping for! I can fold it up for storage easily! May 15th
9 May 24 Reply Wow - getting ride of the street totally changes the image - you made it basically timeless with that simple crop! May 15th
9 May 24 Comment OK - this photo is just cheating! Holy smokes!! The universe conspired for your benefit. I can barely see stars where I live. This is just spectacular. Can't imagine what it would have been like to experience it!

Thank you!

9 May 24 Comment I have nothing. I clicked on the photo and uttered a brief expletive. It's gorgeous.

Could we see the original? I learn so much from your post it helps to see what you started with.

Thanks!

9 May 24 Comment This is a remarkable photo. Professional quality suitable for framing. Wow - I'm crazy impressed.

Wonder if you and/or your husband would be willing to share the design or photo of the studio? I don't have a lot of space and on the lookout for ways to improve settings.

Thank you!

9 May 24 Comment I had a similar thought to Sabine - did the man have any comment or reaction to you taking his photo? I'm not 100% sure what the law is - but I assume that anyone (adult) out in public is fair game.

I had to check where the man had been shopping and chuckled that he bought Doc Martens - and he's wearing black sneakers. He looks like he works in the arts or something creative. I don't get a lawyer/tech/accountant vibe from him. Maybe a slightly aging hipster!

9 May 24 Reply You're welcome. The people of Cuba were so very open and relaxed. They seemed to love that people would travel just to visit them. May 15th
9 May 24 Reply Yes - I was trying to give a sense of scale but it was at the cost of the main feature. May 15th
9 May 24 Comment OK - I'll confess - I delay looking at the group photos for a week or so after the 9th deadline to give the rest of you time to comment. I really value your reflections and interpretations. This is a perfect example. Not only is the image powerful (and the post-production does wonders!) but the comments illuminate the story.

It's great that a photo about a very contentious world crisis drew such lovely and considered reactions.

Sylvia said it: Art is for everyone and is a great tool!

Thank you all!

9 May 24 Comment I learned the value of a glint in an eye in the portrait module of my course and came to notice how photographers take pictures of faces. When I first looked at your snail, it was the light reflection on the shell that made me think it was winking at us!

Also, as a city-dweller most of my life, I had to look up Hollow Larkspur… this is it?
