9 Apr 24 Comment I like what you've done with it quite a bit. The first column doesn't distract or dominate in my view. To the contrary I like the close-up of the detail and made me examine the detail in the subsequent column caps.

Nicely done!

9 Apr 24 Comment I have 135 photos that took recently that are all awaiting processing in Lightroom and I'm trying to decide on a basic workflow. I start with the auto settings, then denoise and sharpen. Beyond that I start playing with whites and blacks, then shadows, the blur tool. It's helpful to see what other folks are doing along with the many, many YouTube's that I'm watching!

Love the turtles - and agree with the processing decisions you made. Great shot - suitable for printing/framing or notecards!

9 Apr 24 Comment Gorgeous colors!

I'm reminded of that great movie, "Harold and Maude" and the machine she created to produce distinct smells. Your photo filled me with the lovely odor of low tide, morning mist, and ocean breeze.

For me, the color of morning sky speaks volumes. I think you've captured it well!

9 Apr 24 Comment Your conversion into b&w is powerful. I've just started experimenting with that in Lightroom and the change it makes can be significant as it is in your photo. Eliminating color as a visual variable seems to force the brain to accentuate other details - in this case - perspective.

Never get tired of photos of the Kimmel!

9 Apr 24 Comment I love photos like this. As you may have gathered I spend a lot of time in cities (Wilmington DE, Philly, and New York) and find them to be a feast in so many ways. They truly are living, breathing organisms and are never the same moment to moment. The joy of street photography is that you're capturing a fleeting moment never to be repeated and each moment tells a story, perhaps many stories.

The caption tells it all: Do you dare to invade the space? Do you dare to risk what awaits? Do you dare join in?

So my only question is: Did you?

9 Apr 24 Comment I'm struck by the composition. The rocks in the foreground counter the glassy water and golden light of the architecture all contribute to a beautiful canvas. Nicely done! Apr 14th
