Thanks Jim!
I've also started on Lightroom -- and really like it! Watching a few videos and it's amazing how well the presets work! |

Thank you! I like the idea to trim the right -- I'll continue to work on it! |

Really good point -- I do create some competition (unintended) and should decide on one subject! Thank you! |

The clouds and lighting in the original seem to emanate from the barn roof which isn't as evident in the flip. I really like the way you enhanced the sunset peeking from under the covers of the storm. |

First of all -- it's hard to believe that you're just getting started with Photoshop! You've obviously worked hard to learn it!
The diagonal twig coming in from the lower right is great -- and you removed the parts and pieces that didn't serve the photo -- very impressive! |

It would have been so easy to crop tighter and not have the little wings near the top of the photo -- nice and tidy and clean -- yet by leaving them you make sure we know that there's more -- and I value the invitation to look a little deeper. Having the windows and things of interest outside is very enticing. Getting rid of the sign is also a huge help -- a good reason for me to learn Photoshop! |

I live just a little south of Philadelphia (some would call most of Delaware a suburb of Philly!) and I'm reminded that many of the more rabid sports fans have a motto: We're from Philly. Nobody likes us -- and we don't care! That's exactly the attitude I get from the smokers -- look at the way they are holding the cigarette -- with such intention and purpose. These are not casual smokers -- and they don't care if you like it or not! |

So interesting that the ivy is growing and spreading at a perfect rate to overtake the building. Right now it's a tie -- but it's clear the ivy will "win"!
I didn't mind the terracotta shade of the original and the orange really defines the time of day and the feel. |

The world can never have too many sunset photos!
Two things:
1. I had to look up where the island is -- Germany -- right?
2. Photoshop is above my "pay grade" right now so I enjoy just the visual and not go into the weeds of enhancements. My eye when right for the birds on the pylons/fence. Loved that the larger birds took the largest/highest seats and the little ones populated the rail. I wonder if watching the sunset is part of their routine? |
