Totally agree about the detail in the ears - against the verticals of the blades of grass - looks like a tree in the distance!
Enjoy the soft gray against the bright green of the grass.

At first glance I thought it might be a little "top heavy" - too much dark sky - but then I looked again and realize how much the vertical white cloud gives against the deep dark gray.
You mentioned how much you liked the drastic difference in scope and scale - and I would add - the contrast of the violence of the skies vis a vis the placidness of the earth. Even the shift in color - from menacing grays to warm earth tones - conveys your intention.
Thank you! |

Thanks! |

Photo offers a serene landscape - and the open gate invites an open question about who/what got out and/or is expected back! Very inviting regardless.
I'd like to see a larger image - tough to discern much with the small size. |

Really enjoy the architectural details and mostly right angles against the human shape of the subject. The was really on your side - totally frames the subject draws the viewer's eye immediately.
Safe to assume that the subject posed? Or random?
Thanks for posting! |

Simply put: I love this photo! The turquoise is vivid accent to the tulips and so unusual to see a photo of flowers "post bloom". So interesting to see how the shape and color changes as they wilt - what a great idea for a photo shoot! |
