It's as if the birds collaborated to pose -- it's a GREAT photo. I agree -- might trim just a tad off the right. The diagonal lines and head positions really make the photo -- the snow is nice as well! |

I'm not at the place to comment on any of the technical aspects -- and am impressed that you scouted locations and were out at sunrise to get the shot.
I'm also a sucker for a lighthouse so you had me at that! |

I clicked on the image to view the full-size -- and the bird's expression really pops! You know that annoyance when you're intent on completing a project and keep getting interrupted? That's our bird! |

I want to be there! Can almost hear and smell the mist -- this is a sensory feast and love that something visual can ignite other senses. |

I love photos of architecture and light! As a native New Yorker I knew about the phenomenon in Manhattan but (arrogantly) assumed it was unique! Thanks for enlarging my perspective!
Agree with the Photoshop enhancements -- amazing software! |

I couldn't figure out what let me "wanting more" when I looked at the B&W until I read the "shoulder" comments -- exactly -- I found the color photo grounded and more expressive. Amazing how the expression changes between color and B&W -- the B&W almost appears "spooky" while the color is serene.
All of that said -- I enjoyed both photos quite a bit! |
