Hi Ted, I was just a tag along for the visit:) I agree...I like the monochrome and color as they evoke different emotions. Thank you for your comments. |

Jim, LOL. It does look like Twilight Zone! Looks like the group is leaning toward the monochrome. I'm going to print the B&W and use another color image to express a different emotion. I plan on doing an emotions collection naming different feelings. Thank you for your comments. |

Randy, Thank you for your comments. I like your perception of him directing the balls. He's eight and was just running excitedly into them. However, your comment brings to mind the movie Close Encounters when Richard Dreyfuss directs the alien music. |

Douglas, Thank you for your comments. You hit it on the head...they both show emotions. The name of the exhibit was EmotionAir which explored art and emotions.
Thanks for sharing how you work with "Chaz." Love that you named him. I'm going to try some of your Lightroom suggestions...and use AI as my photo assistant. |

Sabine, Thank you for your comments. I do like your color edit. The name of the exhibit was EmotionAir exploring art and emotions. So I've also printed some color shots displaying emotions. |

Sylvia, Thank you for your comments. That's a lot for a wall :) But I am thinking of a fun project with small photographs expressing emotions. |

I tried to smooth out water with photoshop effect slides but it didn't work. I like your original better! |

Linda, Gorgeous colors! First thing I noticed was the fiery sky and its reflections in the water. Using the opening of the row of houses nicely centers this image. For another look this would also work with a slow shutter speed to smooth out the water to match the sky texture. |

Randy, Great shot! Love how the river and road curves toward Mt. Hood then to the gorgeous sky. The foreground greens , background blues and curvy lines add a calmness and interest which moves you throughout the image. I like the deeper colors in Sabine's edit. I think cropping out the yellow may take away some interest and balance of the composition ...but experiment.
Yeah Fuji!! |

Sylvia, As the group pointed out you have a gift for still life photography set ups! This defines a classic Christmas with holiday red, green and gold. I like how the light hits the red draping and how you displayed the items. My only suggestion would be to slightly crop at both sides of the table to hide the folds. |

Douglas, Elegant! The red touches of the pillow, throw and books hint of Christmas. I do like how Sabine widened the candelabra which highlights it even more. Great Christmas still life. |

Sabine, I love the lights in Hamburg. The first thing I noticed was the golden glow around St. Michael's Church then the water reflections. The harbor's triangular lines point directly to the Church. The way you captured the church definitely shows how it acts as a navigational aid. It looks like a lighthouse. My only suggestion would be to dim the lights on the two buildings on the pier. Btw, Miniatur Wunderland looks really interesting. |
