9 Nov 25 Comment Randy, Thanks for your comments. I'm thinking of going back to get a shot of the whole sewing machine. It would be another perspective of the room. Nov 19th
9 Nov 25 Comment Douglas, Your respite comment is very intuitive. That hit me as soon as I entered the room. That you for your comments. Nov 17th
9 Nov 25 Reply Jim, Thank you for your comments. The two perspectives tell different stories. I do like the peacefulness of the B&W. For me Sabine's is a document of history showing the old fashioned sewing machine. Nov 17th
9 Nov 25 Reply Sabine, The sewing machine was a distraction for me . I only got part of it and why was it so close to her bed. But looking at your edit I'm tempted to go back and get a better shot since the house is in my neighborhood. Thank you for your perspective. Nov 17th
9 Nov 25 Reply Sylvia, Thank you for your comments. The bed speaks to a peaceful space. Nov 17th
9 Nov 25 Reply Linda, I like your idea of the moody look with moody shadows. I may do some research. Thank you for your comments and edit. Nov 17th

9 Nov 25 Comment Randy, You captured tranquility. The stones in the pond, moss and green reflections in the water are very soothing. I like your edit. My only suggestion would be to lighten the path with the light filtering in to the pond. I tried to lighten the path with Photoshops dodge tool.

From checking Lithia Park out on line it offers various landscapes from canyons to a Japanese Garden. You're fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. Love this serene image.

9 Nov 25 Comment Jim, So mysterious. Once again great editing. I like how your software lightens and details the trees and the mist adds mystery. I kinda like how the dark branch in the water invites you into the image. Nov 15th
9 Nov 25 Comment Sylvia, For me Water for All is a powerful human rights statement piece. It symbolizes meeting the basic needs of all people and humanely treating animals. It also brings to mind Jim Crow's racial segregation as well as today's political issues. The gate shadow symbolizes that water or social rights are not accessible for all. The simplicity and shadows are the beauty of this image.

I looked up urban still life and liminal photography. Didn't know urban still life was described as such. Thanks for the inspiration and reminding me about Scott Kelby.

9 Nov 25 Comment Linda, As you stated Painted Pathways is truly agricultural artistry! The greens and tulip colors are so vibrant. The background and side trees frame out the image creating lines to move you throughout. My only suggestion would be to remove the hanging branches on top. Kudos to you for turning around with your phone! Nov 15th
9 Nov 25 Comment Douglas, Student on a Crane bought a smile to my face. Kids do a lot of strange things. Reading on a crane and relaxed? I like the definition of the crane's round bolts and lines against the young girl. The depth of field blurs out the background nicely.

As Sabine stated I really like the softness of the monochrome. What did you use? I can imagine how hard it was to capture a candid shot. Perfect image for black and white. Great image!

9 Nov 25 Comment Sabine, Wow! First glance of Double Rainbow gave me an ominous feeling. Then it spoke of brightness after the storm. Rainbows symbolize hope, faith and new beginnings. And you've got two rainbows!!

The blue gray tones of the boat and sky enhance the rainbows' colors. The curve of the boats base duplicate the rainbows' shape which frames the image. The triangle roofs add interest to the background. Interesting photo!
