Have not been here. Your image makes me feel like I'm part of the scene. |

Well, we're pretty hard on ourselves. I still think yours is more vibrant. |

Jim, Your version adds more life and vibrancy. Almost looks 3d. I'm going to try masking. Thank you for working with the image! |

I totally understand how it would be awkward viewing the reverse of a familiar scene.
Sticking out like a sore thumb. :) Give it a try with some of your images. I even looked at portrait and landscape versions trying to save this. |

Doug, Thank you for your comments. It certainly was a lot of activity at the site with the tourists and all the dark color! |

Sabine, Thank you for your comments. Part of my experiment was shooting the waterfalls at different speeds for different effects. Glad this one works. Pointing out the different greens will help in editing the photo for printing. |

Randy, Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I flipped the image to allow the tree branches to pull the viewer into the image. You're probably right about the editing causing the strange color in the waterfall. So much to be aware of when you're editing. I may give it another go with your suggestion in mind.
Sorry you didn't make the event. As you know Oregon landscape is beautiful! Another great spot was Canon Beach for sunset. Just didn't have enough time. |

Randy, Glad you got your camera back out! Love the framing of your image. The green leaves frame the front flower nicely with the background flower facing the same direction. Great close up with your 50mm. I applaud you for trying new software. |

Jim, I'll chime in too...so delicate. Your post processing really brings out the rose's delicate petal shapes and color. Thanks for sharing your steps. |

Sylvia, Great still life! I agree with the comments to add drippy candles with smoke. I believe the B&W gives the scene more depth showing the spider webs and deeper shadows. Just in time for Halloween! |

Linda, I also spotted the Hudson honeycomb...LOL. Kinetic Sky is a dramatic perspective. The first thing I noticed was the Shed's triangles which led me to the squares and triangles though out the image. My suggestion would be to remove the trees in the foreground. But it was fun to spot the honeycomb. |

Douglas, Winterthur is postcard perfect. The blues and greens are so vibrant. I also like the framing with the trees on both sides and flowers in the foreground. It gave me the feeling of sitting on the hill viewing the landscape. Beautiful. |

Sabine, Your Piccolomini Library captures the atmosphere of the Siena Cathedral. The focal length distortion calls attention to the tourists' body position and facial expressions of awe while showcasing the library's beauty. I agree that the basilica's beauty and history is overwhelming and you try to take it all in with your camera . You did a great job in capturing the atmosphere and beauty of this space. |
