9 Aug 25 Reply Sabine, It's interesting to see your perspective. This makes is a straight on nature photo without the fairy tale look. Thank you for taking the time to edit. Aug 19th
9 Aug 25 Reply Jim, Thank you for your comments and taking the time to edit. I don't see your edit but will try the vignette to help focus to the swan. Aug 19th

9 Aug 25 Reply Ian Plant did simplify his technique which I'm sure took a lot of planning and practice on his part. In any case , I do like that your image which piqued my curiosity. Aug 19th
9 Aug 25 Comment Linda, I agree that the most compelling images are the ones that catch your eye. Your thin white frame anchors the deep blue house and weathered door. The straight lines of the door, house, shutter and steps add a calm balance. Love the quirkiness of the bow. Great job in capturing coastal charm.

9 Aug 25 Comment Randy, I agree that Brick Building has a lot of geometric character. I like the color and monochrome images with the shadow. I hope you don't mind that I played with it a bit with Photoshop's free transform. It now kinda has the angles of a cubic cube. Aug 14th
9 Aug 25 Comment Jim, In looking at the original you've got a great eye. The mushroom and the background browns and greens make a nice fall shot. The angle of the shot and crop seem to give the mushroom personality! Aug 14th

9 Aug 25 Comment Sylvia, Gorgeous colors! You also captured the texture and beautiful patterns on the butterfly. I agree with Doug in isolating the butterfly and a few flowers to show off the butterfly's beauty. I tried to blur out the background in Photoshop. Aug 14th
9 Aug 25 Comment Douglas, What a funky image. Now that you mentioned it, I do wonder about the neatness of the stickers. Could be the same person or a sign of your neighbors' neatness. Is it my age or locale that I don't know the meaning of any of the stickers...LOL

Love the way you made art out of an everyday object!

9 Aug 25 Comment Sabine, Thank you for the glimpse of Lueneburg Heath. Your photo composition sent me to Luenenburg Heath's website to find out more of the story. I like the angle of the photo capturing the shepherd, flock and dogs.

Wondering how'd this would look incorporating the heather and the above in the photo with a wide angle lens. Maybe using some of Ian Plant's techniques. What a treat to have this near home! Great photojournalism!
