Randy, Photoshop's select subject is amazing. I'll take your advise and experiment with dark backgrounds to give it an entirely different look. Your comments are much appreciated. |

Sabine, I like your version. It does look like a painting. Thanks for taking the time to show your edit. I may try creating note cards with different versions of the same flower. |

Doug, Thank you for your comments. LOL... love interpretation of bud bowing to bloom. |

Linda, Great eye. Closing up the negative space works. Thank you for comments and advise. |

Randy, Mysterious and yet peaceful! The monotone colors create a sense of calm. The moon shimmering on the water would look great framed with a thin white border to define the scene. Great image!

Jim, Wow...such detail! With my first look at Dew Drops, Peter Pan's Tinker Bell came to mind. A Disney magical moment. The starburst in the water drop and detail of the leaf is amazing. I'll have to review your instructions again to grasp all the steps. Thank you for sharing. |

This is probably the same as yours ... but hope you get my idea of lining up the stem with the corners. Love your image. |

Sylvia, Summer Blooms captured me! Google says the name is Zinna Burst known for its colorful strips. Your gradient pink and gray background enhances the flowers soft colors. I was curious to see the flower on more of a diagonal slant to line up with the frame corners which sent me down the rabbit hole trying to edit. |

Linda, Kudos for you for posing the performers with Miss Philadelphia. Great story telling without a caption. You've got all the patriotic fourth of July colors with the Philadelphia sash. Great July 4th shot. |

Doug, "Front Door" has a lot of interesting clean lines. I actually like the original with the brown door against the white window frames and black shutters. However for monochrome, I'd suggest adding more contrast. I tried by using one of the black and white adjustments in Photoshop. |

Sabine, I love your image. At first glance I thought these were dried flowers that you edited. The placement of the flowers are perfect. The swirly lines and light violet color give it a light airy feeling with movement. The ice enables the flowers to take on fanciful shapes allowing your mind to wander.
Linda's poetic description says it best. I also agree with Doug about the middle of the image which is kinda of pinkish. Your creativity is inspiring! |
