Doug, Thank you for your comments. I agree it's a lot of ink...Outlandish! My sister would not even look at the photo. |

Sabine, Thanks for uploading the original. After viewing the original , I can now see how the Franzis program edits details. Your image looks similar to a pencil sketch. At first glance I thought it was a little bright ...until I was able to appreciate the fine detailed lines. I also thought why not use photoshops cinema x-ray but that's an entirely different look. I tried below.
I did look up the Franzis program. I really like how your image resembles a pencil sketch. Thank you for sharing.

Jim, Thank you for your comments. I also would have liked to hear more about his tattoo decisions. I did try to crop to include his hands but it looked awkward to me. |

Sabine, Thank you for your comments. I felt the B&W gave the viewer a sense of his identify. He was working with the tattoo artists so part of this was performance...maybe. There were 2,000 tattooers competing for sales. |

Randy, Well you certainly made Johnnie Walker pop! This is one of my camera club members' favorite still subject. I'm thinking this ad would introduce additional labels to specific Johnnie Walker consumers. The black background nicely highlights the Striding Man logo. I agree that it would be an improvement to make the top name label legible. I do not have much lighting experience so I can't offer any tips. |

Jim, I agree with Sabine great job in editing. The water and greens are so crisp. However, I like parts of your original image which emphasis the bridge. Wondering how'd it look cropping out the right waterfall. |

Sylvia, The background drew me in. The angle of the poles, reflections and colors held my eye. The man carrying the bucket adds another level of interest. His small figure against the poles looks labored. My only suggestion would be to crop the foreground to highlight the pole reflections and blue in the background. Great photo capturing a way of life.

Linda, Thank you for the Spring reminder. I kinda like the vignette. Adds a protective feeling . The vibrant colors and water droplets are enhanced with the blurred green background . Great job. |

Douglas, Love the way you captured the bands of wildlife and bands of color. At first glance the brown was so soothing that I didn't realize they were mammals. It's interesting to see the different behaviors in one shot. Birds seem a little agitated while the sea lions are so relaxed. Great wildlife story. |
