9 Jan 25 Reply Sylvia, LOL... this is a Chicago suburb. Never know what you may find. I do like the vignette and crop! I'm going to try my hand at making this into a note card. Thank you. Jan 15th
9 Jan 25 Reply Sabine. Love the cropping. It shows more of the sky detail . The trees on the left is throwing me. But it does force your eyes to move through the image. Thank you. Jan 15th
9 Jan 25 Comment Randy, Love Perspective's geometrical lines and shadows. I also agree that monochrome enhances the photo bringing out the shadows on the buildings and ground. I admire your practice of walking with a fixed lens. Forcing you to be more intentional in your composition as opposed to relying on cropping. Looking forward to seeing your images.

I experimented with bringing out the shadows in photoshop with curves and B&W color mix. Also cropped bit.

9 Jan 25 Comment Jim, Blossom with Bee can be categorized as nature or photojournalism. The two bees are certainly telling a story. Good choice in blurring the background. Great shot! Jan 15th
9 Jan 25 Comment Sylvia, Happy is what yellow signals! The gradient background compliments the graduated colors of the vase. You did a great job with lighting. I also applaud your creativity. You and Sabine have inspired me to try some of these lighting techniques. Especially in this cold weather. Great job! Jan 15th

9 Jan 25 Comment Sabine, Your painterly photography technique creates lovely abstracts. Fascinating that each one has a different vibe by changing the light. The blue is pretty funky while the other is quite soft. A few of these images would make a great collection for wall art. I was curious to see them together. You're on to something ! Jan 15th
