Hi Ted, I didn't grow up Catholic but I heard the Nuns were quite the disciplinarians. I'm going to experiment with your framing suggestion by cropping close to the middle arch with the cross and nun. This should also eliminate the cars making it timeless. Thank you for your suggestion. |

Randy, The sign would have certainly defined this photo. But under the circumstances it was one and done. Appreciate your comments. |

Jim, Centering the three arches does clean it up a bit. It also adds another perspective of emphasizing the clouds. However, I do miss my nun. Your comments are much appreciated. |

Sabine, I believe I loss the stones when I used transform to straighten out the building. I'll try to recrop to keep the stones as they add interest to the foreground. Since you Googled the Mission, I'll mentioned I was looking for a unique perspective by shooting the rear of the building. Your comments are very much appreciated. |

Doug, Pushing the limits are always fun! Appreciate that you noticed the nun's attire. I was wondering if it was recognizable. Thank you for your comments. |

Randy, Congratulations on memorializing your first camera! Your photo is clear with good detail. My suggestion would be to bring the film into focus. It helps define your camera. Great composition.
I think you're on to something. I saw a PBS show that photographed treasured items to pass down memories rather than hanging on to the real thing. |

Jim, I like the original image with the yellow stripe. The hair like texture of the water also adds depth to the image. Nice abstract. |

Douglas, I agree with Sylvia, Bess is a cutie! The image framing and soft background brings out her eyes. Great job. |

Sabine, Very surprising image! Initially, I thought your photo was the original museum piece. The crop is everything. The crop defines the image creating angles which are accentuated by monochrome. The black angles carry you through the image. Wonderful image.
We do have Raffaello in the States. But I'm not familiar with the white hat advertisement.

Sylvia, Mushroom season has a fairy tale quality. The way the mushrooms are leaning into one another resembles villagers conversing. This may be way off base for you...but for me it bought to mind the tiny Lilliputians in Gulliver's Travels. The brightness of the yellow mushroom caps and green grass adds life to the image. My only suggestion would be to remove the dust above the middle mushrooms. Love this image. |
