Linda, I appreciate your comments. I've changed the exposure on my phone but have never used the HDR mode. Looking forward to experimenting. Thank you. |

Doug, Thank you for your comments. It was striking to see a children's tent at the encampment. I'm curious about the dialogue between the kids and parents. The two children in the photo were kid's of alumni. |

Sabine, Thank you for your insightful comments. You are so right ..there's that shadow. Such a contrast with children drawing at a protest. I may darken the flag and crosses to draw highlight the subject. |

Jim, Thank you for your comments. The kids were probably confused by the encampment as well. |

Cindy, Amazing! The winding round leads right into the aurora. Beautiful lights! Your wait paid off. Everything was in your favor for this shot. |

Jim, Wow. I'm with Sylvia. My thoughts drifted to living here. The trees draping the top add a peacefulness. Great job in capturing the reflections of both the house and bridge. Beautiful image. |

Sylvia, Beautiful iris. The background enhances the colors and details. Iris' have their own personality. This one looks like an elegant dancer. Thank you for sharing your studio. Your husband can sell these! |

Sabine, I did not know Germany policies were so strict. In the States if in a pubic space we have the right to take a photo. Even though it's allowed I usually asked a parent for permission to a take photo of a child. And I'm careful not to abuse the homeless. However due to HomeLand security some federal properties are restrictive. See above Illinois law.

Linda, Urban Passage is so descriptive it should be called life passage. For me your composition shows the contrast between generations through his expression and walking in another direction. I would suggest darkening the black in the man's clothing and the street stripes. I love shopping. Don't know how I missed the groups' observation. I probably need to chillax. Love your photo.
Is this a shout out to the Beatles Abbey Road? |

Doug, Cuban Chess Match captures intimacy of friends. I wondered if their expressions were welcoming smiles or what? But I see they were curious about you. The rustic background suggests a view of everyday life that few are privy to. Your personality and empathy for human struggle no doubt opened the door for meaningful photos. Great shot!
BTW my Dad was a minister who travelled globally. You have such unique opportunities. |

Hilarious...I also looked up Hollow Larkspur thinking it was the name of the snail. |

Sabine, Gorgeous , serene and peaceful are adjectives that come to mind. The green background and leaves accent the snail color perfectly. This reminds me of the beauty of nature and how we as photographers try to capture the same beauty in man made items. The spiral pattern of a staircase and your snail are so similar. Thank you for the reminder to quiet myself and pay attention to the many blessings around me.
