Randy, Thank you so much for putting so much thought into my image. I wanted to try a different image processing and I think my intention has become quite clear. |

Jim, Thank you very much for the detailed description of my photo. The details in the sky were important to me, the soft clouds in contrast to the rather hard other structures. |

Douglas, I really like the photo. It reminds me of my vacations in America a long time ago. I also saw sea lions and seals. I like the seemingly untidy look of this image. But if you look closer, you can see a certain order. Some of the sleeping positions of the seals make me smile.
The colors look very natural and you've done a good job with the processing.
I would have liked a little more splashing sea water.

Thanks for your comments, Doug. The image is already very bright, that's true and was intended. But you should be able to recognize structures, so I'll probably have to rework it. |

Product photography is a difficult subject that I haven't even dealt with yet.
So the task was to make the product "pop". Your idea was good. The background is black, the bottles glow and the product is immediately recognizable.
I asked myself, what do you have to do to make the product immediately catch the eye? You can't design the bottles themselves in other bright colors, the label is just the way it is. You could make the background colorful, not in neon colors, but in sunset colors. After all, scotch is probably drunk when you get home, work is done and now you want to enjoy the evening (although I don't drink alcohol and just let my imagination run wild).
Perhaps I would have placed whiskey glasses with ice cubes and scotch between the bottles, different glasses, different filling heights, to break up the photo.
Product photography should also appeal to the senses. You've succeeded in doing that, because the viewer has the amber-colored liquid in front of their inner eye and perhaps imagines a convivial evening with friends.

Jim, you've really succeeded with the editing. The
water has a matching color in the sump, slightly turquoise. The structures in the rock are now more visible and the green looks natural. The composition guides the viewer through the image.
I would crop the image a little at the bottom, for me the bridge would then no longer be too far up. But that's just my opinion.

Sylvia, for me a very atmospheric photo that you show us. Before I read your description, I thought it was a rice farmer.
But it's not important for the image. I see a man walking back after his work is done. He is walking through the vastness of the Wadden Sea(?) and is alone. Man and nature are the two terms that spontaneously come to mind. How small the man seems, how overwhelmingly large is the sea, nature.
An image that makes you think. Thank you.
I look forward to more photos of Japan from you.
Maybe you`ll like my small changes.
First I raised the saturation in the blue channel a little, changed the tonal correction a little (set a black and white point) and finally cropped the image a bit.

Wonderful pink flowers with dewdrops and found in the backyard! I would have gotten my camera right away!
Linda, you have captured a quiet moment, spring awakening for me.
The color, focus and background are just right.
I wouldn't have needed the vignette. But that's just my opinion.
Well done.

You were lucky enough to photograph a living art object - there's no other way to describe this man, Yvonne. I find these many different depictions of women interesting, on the one hand religious, on the other innocent and also seductive. Women who play a role in his life?
I like the crop you've taken.
The man is absolutely in focus. The blur in the background also contributes to this. For me, the original also has a lot to tell. The lady at the top right is adoring him, all the other people are not interested in him, even though he is standing there with his upper body bare. Cropped to the size of the black and white image, it captures the atmosphere. It's great that you dared to take the photo.
