Linda, A breathtaking landscape. Who wouldn't want to get on the next plane to take photos of icebergs? The colors look very realistic to me, it must not have been easy to edit.
Great photo, certainly one of many that you will find on your hard disk. I am really looking forward to more. |

Randy, I agree with you. Sometimes I have to try something new, even if it's just a different perspective. Thanks for your comment. |

Linda, Thanks for your comment.
Denis was a first-time model and just looks natural.
At the moment he is in Japan. When he returns, I hope to do another photo shooting. |

Yvonne, Thank you for your comment. I called it "Denis studio series" , a series of Denis with different poses, different clothes and silhouette shots (photographed against the light). |

Randy, I absolutely love your photo! I like everything from the composition to the black and white conversion.
The question I asked myself is what effect soft contrasts have in landscape photography. This makes me think of Caspar David Friedrich.
That was a challenge for me at first. I changed the grayscale in the editing process, resulting in an overall "softer image".
This is just a suggestion, perhaps also for a discussion.
I'm looking forward to your opinion.

Sylvia, I really love your image. This fairy-tale atmosphere only exists in autumn when the sun is low and the colors are wonderfully bright.
Your composition - lines ascending from left to right - makes it clear how small the mushroom is. The impression is further enhanced by the crumbs of earth - you know the mushroom must have just come out of the ground. The light on the mushroom's head brings it even more into focus.
To make the atmosphere even more mystical, I reduced the brightness a little in Photoshop (-40) and increased the contrast (+70). So, what do you think?

Jim, You've managed a very nice shot of a Cardinal. I first read up on the bird and once again learned about it through our group.
You have chosen a suitable crop and the right format. I am amazed at the sharpness of the cardinal in the processed image. The Topaz program can probably do that.
So that the red and green colors don't compete too much, I took out some yellow and minimally enhanced the red, so that the cardinal comes even more into the viewer's focus. But that's just an idea.

Yvonne, I was confused for a moment. On the one hand the center pulls me into the image, on the other hand it pushes itself out again.
A photo that reminds me of the books of my youth: The Magic Eye, Three-Dimensional Illusion Pictures.
You've created a great image and the black and white conversion lends itself to concentrating on the essentials.
The large dark area in the top right disturbed me a little.
I mirrored the image horizontally and distorted the upper right edge a bit so that the view falls directly into the upper corner and moves downwards.
Maybe you like my idea of editing. |

Thank you for your comment, Sylvia.
What don't you do for a photo, even get up on a wobbly chair. |

Jim, thank you for your detailed comment.
Since I didn't take a photo on set, I'll try a drawing that will hopefully answer your questions.
I photographed from a handheld position. |

Doug, cleaning up the background was a good idea. Now the viewer's gaze can focus entirely on the wonderful portrait. You've captured the right moment, the look says it all. I like the shy, expectant look. There must be something special in the girl's line of vision, otherwise her gaze would have wandered to the camera.
Just a little tip: there is a way to add the missing part of the ear in Photoshop. Maybe this is also possible in Lightroom.
Thanks for the image, I really like it.
