Using generative fill would have been easier. It is "handmade", I worked with Photoshop Elements, the tool is called copy stamp. It took a little while, but I enjoyed it. |

Linda, doors are always popular photo subjects and this one is special.
As you said in your description "the scene became a symphony of colors and contrasts" - I agree with you.
I like the contrast of light and shadow, the bright, bold colors and the many straight and vertical lines.
Maybe I would even straighten the door a little, just an idea from me.
Thanks for sharing your great photo with us. |

Douglas, I like this side portrait. It is authentic and despite all the effort you can see the man`s emotions. Green and blue are cold colors and fit the situation perfectly. The blurred background makes the person stand out more. Well done! |

Jim, First of all I would like to say how much I like your humor. I had to smile when I read your image description.
In any case, this is an interesting insect. I went straight to Wikipedia to find out more about mayflies. Your macro was a very good choice; I was amazed at the detailed illustration.
Good Photoshop editing! You are making fast progress.

Yvonne, The first thing I realized was that converting to B&W was the right step to improve the image. The next step, cropping the image, was also a good idea for improving the lines.
The image is so symmetrical that you think it is mirrored. You can see the small inconsistencies at second glance and that is what makes the image really interesting for me.
The view is directed from the bottom to the center of the image and then to the square ceiling (?) section. The viewer then has time to discover the details. Well done!
I increased the contrasts a little bit and removed the four overhead lights. I hope you like it.

Sylvia, What a great idea! Bright colors and patterns on the light bulb, the inside still recognizable,
to say in a nutshell a successful photo experiment.
Please let us know how you got the pattern onto the glass.

Cindy, The viewer knows exactly what is about to happen.
Both geese will fly away soon. What a dynamic there is in the picture!
You captured the situation perfectly. I like the muted, warm colors. The blur in the lower area and in the background make the geese stand out more.
