While I was having my breakfast, I listened to the song. What a wonderful morning I thought, even it is cold and windy outside. :-) |

Cindy, You are right. I used a black acrylic glass plate to get the reflections. I am pleased about your positive feedback. |

Thank you for your comments, Sylvia. It's not too difficult to take a photo like this. I am going to write to you how did it. |

Linda, First of all I am always impressed by your image titles - expressive and simply great. I like both photos - the clear forms and structures. Your edited image is more focused on the glass roof. Cropping it like that and the rotation was a good idea to make the image special. The view through the glass roof shows clouds that break through the strict lines with their loosened form.
Thank you for this great architecture shot.

Thank you for your comments. In any case, I intended to tell you how the image was created. But first of all, I wanted to know what you see. That`s really exciting for me. |

Cindy, That's how it is with photography. You go out with an idea and come back with a different motif. This a successful morning shot. I like the warm colors at the bottom and the blue hazy sky at the top, connected by the fence. I would not crop the image.
Landscape needs space. But that's just my opinion.
Thank you for this atmospheric image.

Sylvia, Your husband's camera and your first 'nice' camera - staged with memories , a wonderful idea that immediately made me think of my first camera.
You did a good job of putting the light on the camera. The camera draws direct attention to itself. I really like the photos and films under the album. I also like the photos in the background. To bring the camera even more into focus, I would blur the background and change the format slightly. Have you ever thought of converting the image into black and white?
Thank you for sharing your memories.

Douglas, Night photography is always a challenge. A challenge that you mastered well. I really like the tower with its lights.
Did you take the photo with your iPhone? Or did you take the photo with your camera? I am interested in details like camera, aperture, time.
The only thing I would do is to remove the overexposed flag on the left.
Thanks for posting this image. As always, I looked on the Internet and found some interesting information about this iconic landmark.

Yvonne, In contrast to your December image the cropped head and hand are fine here. The focus lays on the fancy legs. Good idea to remove the foot and to convert into black and white. I have been thinking about how to support the image statement even more. I had the idea to crop the image tighter. The viewer's gaze starts in the lower left corner and goes to your great nice legs. Furthermore, the legs on the right are not visible any more.
Thank you for this enchanting image.

Jim, When I compare your original image to the edited image I can see your progress in image composition and editing. What I see at first is that you included the rock to have a foreground. That is a good idea and it works because you can also see the sun reflections on the rock.
My idea was to crop the image as you did in 4x5, but I cropped it tighter. The rock is now in the lower left corner. The viewer's gaze focuses on the rock and goes back to the horizon. In Photoshop I brightened the depths to highlight the wonderful reflections even more.
Thank you for this atmospheric sunrise image.
