The reeds do balance the composition. The pose works because of the sharp eye with highlight. Good post processing. |

Interesting pose with the eye peaking over. Good to limit depth of field. Light wood is distracting, so it could be darkened or cropped off |

The original background colors distract from the subjects of interest and going to B&W solves that problem. I would leave the subjects of interest colors, brightening somewhat, and desaturating the background. I show a rough example. The amount of the adjustments and precision of masking can be afjusted |
