Good concept and your recognition of a good photo opportunity. I would use Lightroom Dehaze to remove most of the haze and darken the sky, and Lightroom Adjustment Brush with Auto Mask to further darken the left sky. A silhouette of the statue is a good choice, but there is a halo around it that may have been caused by excess sharpening. |

A good grouping of three birds. It is too bad they were not facing themselves, but you take what you can get. They could be exchanged for an Open category. Again Lightroom Adjustment Brush with Auto Mask would easily allow brightening the bird heads if that is allowed. |

Amazing shot to get the bear and bird. I think the whites are OK because they contain detail, but the bear could be lightened. I like to use Lightroom employing the Adjustment Brush with Auto Mask. That eliminates tedious masking. It is allowed in our club's Nature category. Thanks for letting us know that it is different for you. |

An engaging photo with good color. I would darken the whole image to both make the trees less washed out, and the building interior darker and more realistic. Motion of the water wheel adds good action. Blue spot lower left could be removed. I got carried away and made the submitted version that could be done more carefully. |

An exceptional image with good composition and color balance. Good eye highlight and the eye outline is perfectly sharp. |

An interesting effect. You created a very different image from the original. Did you take the photograph of the satellite? |
