Kathleen,
Thank your for your perceptive observation. You have changed my mind and I agree it was over processed.

I am told an odd quantity groups is good and it certainly works here. Backlighting reduces the detail visible, but compensating is the outlining it produces. Good diagonal of the tops of the animals. Good composition and background. As the green grass is distracting, Photoshop, Select Color Range, and a Reduce Saturation layer deemphasizes it. |

Good colorful, diagonal image. I tried cropping it farther and it made the ducks more noticeable, a good secondary feature, while minimizing the less interesting bridge. |

A beautiful photo. Perfectly sharp with butterfly details. Orange makes a dramatic statement. Vignette is enough to be effective but not distracting. |

Good selection of the shape that is dramatic. Removing the signs was a good suggestion. In the attached, I kept removing objects using Content Aware Fill and Healing Brush tools until I probably went too far. I could have fine-tuned it but you get the idea. I like you're your cropping and the off center perspective. The blue sky adds a lot. |

Thanks for your adjustment. It certainly has better balanced colors, but it does not portray the dawn mood with its blue light. |

I respectfully differ. I down loaded the image and find it one pixel sharp. I goes from light to dark in adjacent pixels. Note the top of the formation. The iPhone has more than enough resolution for 1400 line images.
