Thanks Nancy for working on my image. I did so many iterations and just couldn't decide. I like yours as well. |

Ally, you have all the components that make this a compelling image. The diagonal line keeps me engaged and thorougly absorbed in the picture. I can't imagine being a sea-farer and facing these kind of uncertainties. The color and contrast enhance the effectiveness of the picture. I bet this would also be stunning with a really slow SS making the waves more glassy. As it is, though, the waves emphasize how treacherous the sailors journeys must have been. |

Nancy, I knew you would come up with something beautiful and reminiscent of your childhood in Kansas. I like the snow effect. When I looked at your image, I wondered if you added the snow, but that's only because I've added snow to some of my images. I think it gives the photo an ethereal effect and it draws me right in.

Connie, what a great transformation you did in post. I think your choice of NIK SFX yellowed 2 was perfect for the theme of this month's prompt. I love to see how families in the past lived and how hard they worked for items we take for granted. |

Carole, I can't fathom your loss. I know it must be particularly poignant at this time of year. I think we were both on the same track when we thought about Nostalgia. I miss my parents and my husband particularly at the holidays. Your image is wonderful and touching and you look quite stunning, by the way. |
