I see what you mean Lee Ann about the cat-like creatures. Your composition feels a little tight to me, but I may play more with the image in PS. Who knows that with generative fill PS would create something that works. Not sure how I feel about that though. |

The playfullness of this image made me smile. You must have thought so too when you saw it. The varied colors and textures make me want to run my hands all over it. I like your adjustments and wouldn't change a thing. |

Barbara, what a great image to submit as your final one. I agree with the other members critiques, especially the vignette and perhaps cropping a little from the top. I'm so glad that you still had this in your file.
Hope you see many more subjects to photograph. Wishing you well. |

I was struck by the progression of the locks from oldest to newest. What's behind that door intrigues me. I think you processed this perfectly. You gave it just the right amount of vignette. The wood looks aged and compliments the whole feel of the image.
Hope you had fun in Ireland. One of my favorite places. |

Welcome to our group, Aaron. What a beautiful door that feels Moorish to me. I agree with some of the comments on the crop being a little tight. Do you have more space on either side in your original? It's also tilted to the left, which is an easy fix with the Transform tool in Lightroom. I think Carole's brightening of the top part of the door brought out more of the gorgeous detail. Thanks for submitting this and letting us luxuriate in the richness and artistry of a master craftsman. |

Wow, this is so original and wonderfully done. You have really inspired me with your art. A brilliant idea to put a starry sky behind the door and add the starburst. I'm not sure what the white bit is at the top. Is it a light? I know the point of the starburst is to emanate from the light, but I almost find the light distracting. Could you still have a starburst without the light?
So clever. Great work! |

Carole, this is indeed interesting. What a great opportunity to see this beautiful creatures. I like the straight on take of this door and the inclusion of all its parts. There is a bit of light coming from the right which makes me linger there and wonder what is beyond. The light also creates depth in the image so it feels dimensional. The focus includes everything that is important. Your processing captured the mood of the moment. Great shot, Carole. |
