Nothing like a rodeo to shout out red, white and blue. Great shot getting the horse and woman in motion, but somehow getting the horse's face sharp. This really has a wow factor. Makes me curious about other images you may have taken that day. Panning is not something I seem to have mastered. What was your shutter speed? |

Unlike Carole and you, I didn't think about finding a floor display. Filling the frame really has an impact. The leading lines kept my eyes engaged in the image. At first I wondered what it would look like without the pins, but it would be just a blur with no pausing point. Great thinking! |

What a cute dog you have Lee Ann. I love all the texture you brought out in him. Woody looks comical and ready to flee. Very creative version of red, white and blue. |

How clever of you to think of putting all three together. They create a great mood of an old fashioned tableaux. Your three subjects are focused and clear. I wonder what it would have looked like to use a wider depth of field and keep the focus on the rose? Very well lit, so great idea to use a lightbox. I also really like all the textures. I think Carole added some good suggestions, particularly the vignette. |

I really like this image, Carole even if as you say, "it's traditional." I like that you captured the stars and stripes waving and that the pole is tilted rather than static. The only change, I would suggest is try shortening the length of the pole. The emphasis would then shift, I think, to the flag rather than flag and pole. Wonderful saturation. |
