Fall must be beautiful where you live. I agree that there is a touch of sadness when the leaves fall to the ground, but there is always hope when they come back in the spring. I think your drops are sharp and interesting. If nothing else, I would darken the background to give the image some contrast. I like what Lee Ann did to transform your image. It's so helpful to see another's perspective. |

So much to see in that perfect water drop. It's like being inside a snow globe scene without the snow. I'm so glad that you got out and had the opportunity to take this great image. |

Lee Ann, the first thing I noticed was the reflection in your water drop. That's such a cool technique. I actually like both of your images. The original feels like spring and the wonderful scent of rain. The cropped image is enhanced by the scene in the water drop. All those leading lines resulted in me really spending time with this picture. |

I never would have thought to do that Connie. Are you a science teacher? The story to me is the water and your expression so I cropped it in really tight to tell the story of you and the frozen water. |

Chane, this is a wonderful image and one I will try to emulate in my own water drops flower photography. I wish I had been there with you. Your post-processing draws us right into the flower, while you eliminated what wasn't necessary. Just seeing this image will help me think about what I need to do to get something this good. I agree with Carol about the light colored horizontal petal. |

I've been meaning to try your technique Carole, but haven't as yet. Will definitely look at the link you provided. I like your composition and the creative subject. I would clone out the dot in the top water droplet as I find it distracting. |
