That is true. I snapped some quick photos while I could, because my Legacy colleagues were behind the pipe band at the time. It was a photo opportunity (Paul Simon would be proud, wink). |

Thank you Jeff. It DOES look much better when cropped, and shows the faces of the men watching the youngster. Thumbs up from me. |

Yes indeed, Marianne. There's a thought. I think I'll do just that. Thank you. |

I say, we were told exactly the same thing by one of our leading club photographers. He said that if we are out taking photos of birds, for example, we should wait for something to happen. I did that the other day and caught a quick photo of an Egret catching a fish. I was tickled pink. |

The monkey has an expressionate face, that's for sure. The black and white is good, because of the green and because we can focus on the interaction between the two. Good shot. In a way, the eyes have it - the little tot with the sunnies and the monkey's eyes. :D |

Having the grey and a splash of colour is very effective. I was drawn to his expression. A good street photo. I like Chuck's cropped version, but like your colour. Combining the two would be good, I think. |

The black and white version makes the people stand out more. Seeing the first boy look away suggests that he saw you coming or something. The straight lines seem to lead us to the three people. It looks like a good use of the rule of thirds. I like how the scene suggests culture. |

The black and white image really draws attention to the man's face. He has a few lines, which helps to "make" the scene. It makes one wonder what he is pointing at. The two men really stand out. The black and white version looks more interesting than the colour version. |

Hi Beth. I read this man's look as suspicious. Perhaps he is wondering, "Will you buy my art?". It's a good street shot. So that is the West Bank of New Orleans... Is that a poor area of New Orleans? There's a lot of story there to be imagined. Maybe he is down on his luck.... or waiting for a customer, or some festival treats.... Anyway you have captured his expression perfectly. Did you speak with him? I've never been to New Orleans but I am a fan of Harry Connick Jr. |
