I like the composition with the old on the right and new on the left with the tree as a divider so they don't run into each other. I would consider a crop on the left to remove the partial building. The unique tall building in the center is almost a symbol of new and very modern with the building left of it reflecting traditional modern with straight lines and then the older building on the right representing old Sydney. Very nice image and should go well with your book project. |

A great image Raymond. I was also drawn to the bright light in the keyhole arch. But in looking throughout the image, I liked the foreground rocks being sharp and showing texture along with the sand that appears with them. I like the sky, but wondered if it should be slightly brighter as the brightness of the arch seems to conflict with the darker sky, just a thought. I like the composition and the arrangement of the arch rock in the center with room on the edges. |

I think minimizing the sky helps give the canyon a sense of massiveness and the light and shadows throughout the canyon scene keep my eye moving. I think that's the story, in the size of the canyon. I personally struggle with these type of shots and generally zoom in on a single element to create a story, so I appreciate what you've captured here. |

I think it's a great image Butch. While I immediately focus on the lightning bolt, bringing the power lines and transformer into the scene is very creative. The power pole is a reminder of how "dirty" we make the visual environment while the lightning bolt is pure nature. The lightning trigger did its job very well. |

It's a beautiful capture and as a viewer, makes me feel I'm at the beach somewhere. I had to look closely to see the chairs on the lower right side, so my thoughts are removing the pine tree from the upper left to keep the palms clean and highlighted as a border. I would also crop the right to eliminate the chairs if possible. I like the rainbow and clouds and agree that the hammock could be brightened so it shows more distinctly. The image does reflect a sense of calm, quietness, and some solitude. |
