Great work Ian, I've tried this technique several times and have nothing I would want to show. I appreciate that you try new, creative ideas and in this case you got a good result. I looked at your version along with the one Butch added. I like the trail, but might crop to reduce the sky. However, you have a great image and can be proud of the work you've done. |

To boldly go where no one has gone before, to quote Startrek. I think you've created a great image and experimented with the situation you had, so congratulations on that. It's a very compelling scene and I do like the star trails you've captured amidst the bright city lights. The effort you put into stacking all the images and then work in LR and PS took a lot of effort and commitment to get the final image. |

Excellent composition Butch. It tells a great story of isolation and ruggedness. The clouds and especially the rainbow add a whole new dimension to the image. I like the post work on the rock formations and the sky. f/14 and the slower shutter speed provided a good depth of field and your post work took care of any noise from the higher ISO. |

Very nice photo and well done. I like the sense of movement with the grasses bent, but the Acacia tree standing tall. The background bushes add a feeling of "there are things out there" and provide a feeling of danger and mystery knowing the location. |
