Thanks Butch, I appreciate your comments. It took me some time before I decided to work on the image. In its color version, it wasn't too interesting, but after learning and working the B&W I gave it some attention and also did some work on cropping to give the image space. |

Thanks for your comments Ian. It was one of those "look at that" moments and I'm glad I wasn't in such a hurry to get to my next destination that I forgot to look around me. |

Very nice image Butch and while luck can play a part it's much easier to be lucky when you're in the field with your camera. I like the composition and the way you've positioned the cactus with the rays in the background and the rainbow circling all of it. I agree that the cactus could be toned down a bit as my eye also kept going back to them and not taking in all of the scene. I do like how you've handled the sky and the mountain which help make the image. |

Hi Sherry, I like the view of the city and agree with Butch's work to minimize the tree. I like cityscapes and it's always a challenge to find the right vantage point. It's a very nice image and took some effort to find the right location. My only suggestion after eliminating the tree was to crop the sky down a bit. I think that would add a greater focus on the city. |

A nice image Ahmed, my eye was drawn to the rows in the middle of the image which indicated that it was a populated and farmed area. I see a foreground and background with the rows as the central part of the image. I thought about cropping in from both sides and a bit from the top to minimize the sky. You seem to have reduced shadows in the central area and I would consider just a bit more to really bring out the rows, perhaps with a little texture added. |

A nice image Ian, it's a scene that feels early morning with the calm water and colors in the sky. I would also consider cropping from the top to eliminate some of the sky as it doesn't add much to the scene. I also considered if a crop on the bottom to eliminate the sand might work, although it does provide some foreground. And I also would reduce shadows on the peninsula. Good work with the long exposure and I'd be interested in the results of a revisit you mentioned. |

Fantastic image Peter. It made me also go WOW when I saw it. I also agree that the puffy cloud could be eliminated. I like your creativity in capturing the image and the post processing you've done. I think, because of the image, that you would hang it on your ceiling and not a wall :-). The image appears sharp from the bottom up to the top, so a good decision to use f/13. The various colors stand out and the reflection in the right, upper wall is minimized, so very good work. |

Thanks for the feedback Sherry. It was a fun image to work with and the B&W was easily the best format as there was very little color in the scene. |
